Hey guys - been pondering on Sahirs promise to Zeenat. I wonder whether it was a condition set by Zeenat to agree to divorce Sahir? And that's why Sahir is hell bent on fulfilling it? I think it would be a pretty nice twist if that were the case!

I got thinking because Sahir mentions that Zeenat had a lot of asks so I don't think it was just one event that made him start hating her. And he mentions the promise yesterday like its something he must do out if necessity.

Naaa don't think its' possible because i don't think anyone can set conditions to give divorce or not to give divorce ... you don't want to live together then no one can force u ... also when he made that promise the flashback scene Sahir was so full of love ... with a sparkle and determination ... for getting a divorce that sparkle is a bit too much ... in her love its' justified

As Nads mentioned the promise was made by a smiling Sahir in love with his wife. It seemed more like a need to give her all she wanted at the time.
But the way he talks about the promise now it's clear that she didn't wait for him to prove himself and did something that told him she had never loved him only money!

It seems more like he wants to free himself from some hold by fulfilling this promise. If it was divorce he wanted I guess 7 years is very long for him to wait and he still brought her home as his wife!

VD read your other post also - will reply in detail later :)
And yes you know what that would be a brilliant twist! And it would make his whole obsession with the promise so much more understandable.

It could be that Sahir wants to divorce her, but she thinks so little of him, she may have said, yes sure, I'll divorce if u make it rich ..she still gains as he would need to give we alimony. He can't divorce whilst she is in a coma so used the time

Agreed there are holes in this, but was thinking it would be interesting if he somehow could only free himself from Zeenats shackles because of the promise. Once she is openly better, I am sure Sahir would waste no time in divorcing her but I am pretty sure Zeenat won't divorce him that easily.

vd i don't think thats the condition for divorce.
its more like the promise is the only thing thats holding sahir from moving ahead in his future...

he wants to get done with all obligations that bind him to his past
