Similar situation was there in 2011 when only Thank You released among big films and that also at the fag end of the World Cup.
But this time atleast we have Roy , Badlapur brave enough to release then.

I feel this has one advantage that low-budget or unknown actors' films which wouldn't have normally got a decent release can work on the power of WOM during that time. Like for example, a major reason for Tanu Weds Manu becoming a hit was that it got a big window in 2011 and didn't face any competition for a month.

So don't be surprised if a Hunterrr or NH10 becomes a hit during WC as India is not expected to stay on in the WC till the end.
