Mansi to dance Nach Baliye!

Our telly couples, participating in Star One's Nach Baliye, must be feeling a strange

affinity towards the contestants of Fame Gurukul! Most of them have gruelling 12 hour shifts. No sleep. Nightmares of a broken back, -- all familiar situations for the guys at the Gurukul! But our telly couples too are working hard to put their best foot forward -- quite literally so!

On a rainy evening, as we set out to catch Rohit and Mansi Roy's practice session, (we are drenched and frustrated because we can't find the place), we contemplate backtracking our way to office-- just then we stumble upon Nataraj Hall, in suburban Mumbai, where the two the duo are practicing their moves with gusto.

We request entry, but the choreographers tell us that this was a particularly difficult evening for the couple (specially Mansi). But as we peep inside, we catch a glimpse of two smiling faces -- and we get the opening we require!

They look really tired and drained out - and if we didn't know about their commitment to the show, we would have thought that they were relieved to see us, hungry for a break!

"I am so sweaty...and tired!" sighs Mansi, flushed with her extensive workout. "How will you take snaps of me like this????" she exclaims, but relents as we assure her that they are supposed to be practicing. From then on, the couple forget their weariness and smile with ease.

Did the format surprise them, we ask -- "Well, it did, at first, but it was a very interesting format...we decided to take it on!" said Mansi.

Rohit, deciding to let his better half do the talking, listens as she tells us that she is a "bad dancer." Their choreographers Kash and Shla seem confident of their ward's performance. "I was a little worried about Mansi, but she has picked up...," says Kash, as Mansi comes charging towards him, with a whip kind of a thing and says, "What are you saying about me?"

Amidst all the fun that the couple are having in their sessions, the one thing that both accept is that the show is giving them time to be together. "We have never been in a show together, so yes this is nice!" says Mansi. Do they plan to work together in the future, we ask--"Ask him," says Mansi. "Ask her," says Rohit.

Not keen to start a family feud, we decide to carry on the photo shoot and they are happy to oblige. They contemplate a variety of poses, when suddenly, they realise that they have experts (Kash and Shla) amidst them. "Arre tum log help karo naa...hum apna dimag kharab kar rahe hai," laughs Rohit.

And, as we prepare to leave, they call out --"Ek vote to zarur karna....please!"
