For years, Balika Vadhu has been taking up social causes with considerable elan. Now in a sudden shocking turn of events, the show's much loved male lead, Siddharth Shukla (Shiv) is bidding goodbye to the show after a three-year stint, to pursue his film career. Fittingly, the showmakers have come up with a dramatic and heroic end to his character who will take on a group of terrorists and meet with a tragic death, leaving behind a loving family and a pregnant wife on screen and loads of heartbroken fans off-screen.
