thats partly it yes.. also for his Mota Babuji.. no matter how much he hates Ishaani right now, his loyalty towards Harshad and his family will always be there which is why he took it on himself to save them from the humiliation.. and yes, he was hoping that it would be good enough to get Ishaani to leave..
