Rachana Parulkar flies kite on Makar Sankranti!

The gorgeous Maharashtrian mulgi Rachana Parulkar who essays the role of Ajabde in the popular historical show Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap on Sony Entertainment Television, fetched out some time from her hectic shooting schedule to celebrate the festival of Makar Sankranti on the sets of her show.

Elated Rachana Parulkar says, "I am shooting today hence couldn't celebrate Makar Sankranti with my family, but I made it a point to celebrate this festival on sets of my show. I got home-made Til-Gud' ladoos for my co-stars and crew members so that after having the sweets they chant the famous maharashtrian statement "Til-Gud Khava ani godh godh bola (laughs) and get into the festive mode."

Well this is not it, Rachana also ensured to fly a kite which marks as the tradition of this festival, "Yes, I brought a Kite on the sets today as I love flying kites during Makar Sankranti. Flying kites take me down the memory lane of childhood."

Well truly, looks like Rachana Parulkar had a great time celebrating Makar Sankranti. On this auspicious festival, wishing all the readers a very happy Makar Sankranti.

Til gul is a sweet and the saying "Til gul gya ani god god bola" means "Eat til gul (the sweet) and speak sweet/good things"
