happy makar sankranti guys 😃
well there is a confusion this year with the dates of makar sankranti since many are celebrating it on 14th and many on 15th , so whatever it is , we will celebrate it tomorrow . so many wishes from my side . well there are many reasons and many beliefs attached with this festival .
like it's the end of winters and start of springs , a harvest festival , the day when lord son reaches his son's(shani) zodiac home makar (capricorn) etc . known with many names like makar sankranti , uttrayan , khichdi etc in different parts of india .
in south this is pongal and in assam it's boghali bihu.
wow so many festivals in one 😛 hope it brings happiness for everyone
mostly special foods made of til (sesame seeds) are made and is of great importance plus the kite flying competiton is an added attraction too.
