It seems by the wordings of Bigg Boss that Upen is temporarily in the house to complete an incomplete mission which maybe proposing to Tanna acc to BB (I personally think it is to ensure that he takes Sambhavna, Mahek n Sana to bed as well 😉)

Also if you see the Big Boss colors website Upen is still listed as eliminated. So what do you think is he just a guest ?

It is highly likely he may be a guest and has been sent with something specific to accomplish.

I think tharki bigg baas is missing love angles in the house...he doesnt seem to have high hopes on RM so he had reunite UpMa

He has come to add tadka to the love-less show right now.

Big Boss is a whimsical man. He got tired of seeing pati-patni rona dhona.
This week it is time for some romance, so brought the one and only BB8 ka apna king of romance, bedroompur ka sultan and ladkiyon ko deewana kar dene waala Prince charming - Upen Patel.

Next week, if he gets tired of UPMA romance, he will bring back Diandra. Caption will be, kya is adhuri dastaan ko manzil milegi?

If bathroom leela becomes too much, he will call back Sonali. Caption - Kya choot gaya tha kisi ka dil jo use lene waapas aa rahi hai? Now audience will guess if she is coming back for Gautam, Upen or riya and chotu.

Basically, BB ka man uth jata hai toh woh contestant out ho jaata hai. Aur jab bore ho jaata hai, toh koi angle banane ke liye, woh contestant waapas bhi aajata hai.

Aage aage dekho hota hai kya?
