Hi ! My name is Pooja and I watch Balika Vadhu off and on with my mom. Though,I have not watched it right from the beginning but do read the Forum views frequently. The cvs do a good job in terms of charecterisation,backdrops,sets and direction etc. But what's so new in Balika Vadhu where Shiv dies and Anandi becomes a single mother ? Didn't the same thing happen with Gehna ?
or for that matter Dadi sa ?
Why does a leap in a story mean someones death ?
or is it some thing as simple as Sidharth Shukla concentrating on movies and the not going to have enough time for the soap so the cvs believe the audience will not accept any other actor in place of Shiv ?
Does the audience have a choice ?
The cvs knock off Anandi's mother,then Basant, then sumitra and Bhairon decide to disappear,Anandi has a change over and so does Ganga and Gehna and chote papa.Mahi disappears too.
A love story builds up between Mahi and Shiv's London returned friend and the story goes in cold storage etc
I have respected the cvs of Balika Vadhu but I think they need to leave Anandi alone and let her live an uncomplicated life a bit and instead drop Bua ji head down wards from the terrace if they have to roll heads.
Suggestions are welcome !
