Abhishek Malik quits Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan
Abhishek Malik, who was seen in a negative role in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan (KYY), has quit the show. Sources say that the actor wasn't happy with the way his character Harshad was shaping up in the show.
The makers were planning to turn his character positive but then the idea was dropped. Abhishek confirmed the news and told us, "KYY was really doing well and even my character was shaping up well. However, I wasn't satisfied because my character had become too evil. I wasn't very comfortable playing an out-and-out negative character. Earlier, they had plans to show that my character turns over a new leaf and becomes positive but those plans were changed."
"Also, there was supposed to be a love triangle track involving my character, Charlie's character and the new guy who has just entered the show, but I don't know what happened. I communicated the decision to quit to my producers, who wanted me to stay, but then they understood my point," he added. Abhishek said that he enjoyed being a part of the show, "My co-stars were shocked when I told them about my decision. Since we all are in the same age group, we had bonded quite well. But everything that starts has to come to an end. I used to get a lot of hate mails for my role and it means that people were appreciating me. I will be back on the screen soon." Abhishek's track will be ending in the show and there are chances that they
might show him going abroad.
