Now serial makers can play this trick if viewers oppose end of Shiv's track or if TRPs drop.
With the help of flashbacks they can show Shiv chasing one of the terrorists who is running away & Vikram who happens to visit the same place will be mistaken for Shiv and gets killed in the fight.
Shiv will reach some deserted area and will be captured by other members of the gang who are monitoring the attack. Meanwhile everyone will be upset thinking Shiv is gone forever but Anandi will still have a feeling that he is alive. She'll refuses to accept Shiv's death. DB will create troubles for Anandi. Somehow Shiv will fight goons & manage to escape and after a gap of few months he'll reappear in Jaitser in the same manner he appeared previously as a district collector trying to save pregnant Anandi. Both of them will come home riding on the horse.
Then all happy tears around!
Anandi's baby shower will take place and she'll deliver twins. Shiv will be very happy.
After some time Vikram's wife will come into the scene and thinks her husband cheated her and married Anandi. She'll plan to take revenge and creates problems in Shiv's life. After knowing the truth she will end up apologizing to Anandi & Shiv.
