Siddharth Shukla rubbishes buzz of being thrown out of Balika Vadhu

There seems to be no end of controversies around Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania actor Siddharth Shukla's life. After being recently embroiled in a drunken driving case in Mumbai, Shukla is now hit with latest reports of him being thrown out of the cult show Balika Vadhu, where he plays the prominent character of Collector Saab aka Shiv - the protagonist Anandi's husband. As per sources, the show will now take a leap and Shiv will die, post which Anandi will deliver twins.

Trashing the reports, however, the 34-year-old actor insists that his character on the show is ending in the natural process of the track. "Shiv was never a part of the original story. His character is not being cut short abruptly ... it's taking a natural course and ending," insists Shukla, who rose to fame with this show around three-years back.

Meanwhile, reports doing the rounds suggest that after his newfound fame in Bollywood, Siddharth had apparently turned bigger than his boots, which lead to his ouster. Reports suggest that Sid would often try to correct senior actors and exude arrogance and over-confidence on the sets much to the dislike of his co-stars. He would even smoke on the sets, and if asked to go outside and smoke, he'd vanish from the sets for hours leading to delays in the schedule. Some reports also suggest that his co-stars apparently got together to launch a joint complaint against him with the production house. Siddharth, however, has rubbished all such reports calling them as "rumours" and reiterating that he's leaving the show on a happy note.

On Thursday, Colors channel that hosts Balika Vadhu, also tweeted their good wishes to Siddharth, saying, "It has been a long and successful run with @sidharth_shukla on #BalikaVadhu! @ColorsTV wishes him good luck for his future endeavours!"

Asked if he's leaving the show to concentrate on his Bollywood career full fledged, Siddharth, who had signed a three-film deal with Karan Johar's production house, said, "No. I'm just going to relax and concentrate on myself for a while, and enjoy some me' time now because it's been quite a hectic run for the past three years."

Prodded about being fined by the cops for driving under the influence of alcohol on New Year's Eve, when his license was also confiscated, Siddharth says, "All that's sorted now."

About the rumors, they are part of life and will be there.
The promo videos which are already out make it clear that his co-actors had good relations with him.

Shiv might not be the part of original story, but after making an heroic entry which instantly clicked with viewers and after making him an integral part of the protagonists life, killing him at such a young age is not justified. Wish they had used the character to its capabilities.

Thanks Siddharth for giving us Shiv. Shivraj Shekhar will always be remembered by BV viewers. He entered the show like a hero, lived his life like a hero, and will exit like a hero.

siddharth shukla is right .even when bv serial script written in year 1992 purendu shekhar , the writer of bv serial told in interview that there is no remarriage of anandi when he write script of bv in 1992 but according to public wish anandi remarrige added in script .purendu shekhar also told that in my scrpit anandi has get bullet on stomach but he was shock to c on tv that anandi get bullet on her head

Rumours and controversies are part of every actor's life, so here comes one. What better than merging Sid's DND with his exit to defame him?

Promos show that he shared a very good rapport with his co-stars.

His earlier articles also suggests that he has given all due credits to BV for making him what he is today. At the same the actor has been very diplomatic in his style of answers.

It's unfortunate either ways that Shiv's character is coming to end. Sid will be popularly remembered as SRS.

True rumours and negative publicity is part and parcel of the game take the good with bad.

That DND incident is bad but it has been simply blown out of proportion by the media.

It is very obvious these are silly rumours.

From the promo shoot segment to various other news segments on BV tell a different story altogether which looks totally opposite of what this article says about him and his colleagues and unit people.

He has always given credit to BV and it's writers and CVs of BV for his success and he always gives credit to the channel too.

Like he said Shiv may not have been original part of the story but he became the most imporatnt part of Anandi so no matter what he will always be part of the original story in one way or other.

The way his character shaped up it is very obvious that writers created this character with great deal of love.

Thank you Siddharth Shukla for playing Shiv so beautifully.

Shivraj Shekhar has been one of the amazing character of BV and he will be missed dearly Though news of his exit is making me cry after every few hours, i'm glad CVs had the decency to give this iconic character a hero's death...Shivraj Shekhar came as a hero and will go as a hero.

Shiv might not have been part of the original script but he has been the best thing happened to both the show and Anandi and i'm glad writers took so much efforts to sketch this character and Siddharth Shukla brought out the charisma of this character with his fabulous unforgettable performance...despite all that Anandi has achieved in her life i think being Shiv's wife and now his widow is the greatest honor of her life.

Good luck Siddharth for your upcoming project...i will always follow your other upcoming projects and hope you get the much deserved rest.⭐️

TFS so creatives are not doing anything abruptly then there is no point of bashing them 😆Shiv was never part of original story according to actor himself and he is saying the character has reached its logical end so this must be always in plan Well if i am not wrong i do remember his character was initially suppose to be a cameo these used to be reports when he entered then given a larger role but rumors used to circulate back then too and people including myself used to laugh at them on this forum itself that Shiv will leave Anandi after making her pregnant something like this Ok that did not happen those were over the top rumors😆 but Shiv character is definitely ending when Anandi is going to be mother soon

Genuine answers by Siddharth He is definitely a good person in real life not the way media presents him

There comes one more rumor. Why does it come when the actor is quitting before that it was healthy relationship.

Why did the reported just ask about DND he could have thrown other questions too.

If Shiv was not part of original story, but he was bought in so why cant he be retained according to present story. Stories are revised according to time .

What ever the writers think or say Shiv is and was part of Balika Vadhu for me he gave hope that there is happiness after pain.

BV writers can never give happiness to GOOD people.😭

Thank You Sidharth Shukla for playing ShivRaj Shekhar so beautifully and giving us the most awesome pair on Television Ansh. Shiv and Ansh both are Immortal for me.

Hmm yesterday in the AT i read that BV is based on PS's moms story; she was a BV, Her husband cheated on her and then she became a widow

So uss hisab se dekha jaaye toh Shiv ka character should not have come into the picture; BV should have been a JaAn story no remarriage of Anandi

Shiv was never originally a part of the story So true if I go by what I read

Somewhere in the interviews it was said na Shiv is a cameo role bas woh cameo lasted May 2012 - Jan 2015

Many viewers who had left came back for Shiv

Shiv was the ultimate man of dreams Aise insan real life mein nahi hote

SS may play many roles but he will always be remembered as SRS

As for the rumors Jahaan gud hota hai wahaan makkhi bhin bhinati hain; Rummors scandals are a part of an actor's life

Shiv was never part of original story is true In my opinion he was given a larger role from cameo and Anandi was married to him only because Jodis sell anyday more than individual characters Take a look at Balika Vadhu forum you won't see one single AT in past or present dedicated to Anandi but yes AnSh AT do came in existence Balika Vadhu is a serial and its show business and they lure viewers to their serial with love stories Thats a fact we viewers are interested in jodis more than seeing individual characters Anandi alone and her story will never create much ripples among viewers

and i am quite sure they will introduce a love angle even now May be later they will have to bring Sid again with Shiv lookalike or they will have to introduce a new character Anandi marries or not is another topic but they will bring some guy who will fall for her otherwise they will never be able to attract a large number of viewers to her story

when BV started there were two kids as lead couple but they did show Sugna Shyam's love story which pulled massive viewership to BV Later JaAn later they hooked viewers a long time to Anandi Jagya Gauri triangle then before divorce they introduced Shiv and made him fall for Anandi then Anandi's marriage now they will introduce someone else Marriage is not compulsion but to hook viewers they will introduce a love angle
