When they first did it with dur-e-shahwar. I drew a conclusion that since it was urdu-ised. They probably modified it to suit the hindi audience. And tehn a few other shows followed with slightl urdu touches.

But then it just made no sense. Mora piya became piya re. Ishq humaari galiyon mein became yeh galiyaan yeh chaubaara. Dastaan became Lakeerein. (This atleast has a reason. But still doesnt make sense)

I mean,why? These words are very much clear to us.

I guess they just dont want us to watch it online. Oh come on. That is so unfair to the show.

I think that if theyre doing it because they hope this way people wont watch it on Youtube and would wait and finish shows on Zindagi instead then it will work for some people in the audience who are not net ninjas. Others will still find out the original names and binge watch because where there's a will, there's a way. Hehehe!

For some shows, it will lessen the impact if the names are changed. Like, if Maat was not called Maat then the last dialogue by Amina Sheikh about handing out Sheh-maat wouldnt have had the effect it had.

I agree. But its so stupid. People will find a way to get teh original names anyway. SO why not keep them?

Moreover,I wonder why the original show makers gave them permission to change the names

I think it is ok to change the names of the shows like meri zaat zarra e benishan..because we wouldn't understand...and another reason is of course not watching the shows on youtube..

I regret watching mora piya on youtube..watching it on tv for the first time would have been a good experience..but then mayb i wouldn't watch it on tv if i didn't know it was that good...

So i think they need to understand that even though we watch all the shows on youtube..we will definitely watch it again because the shows are brilliant..

Maybe i would have had an issue with the names if i couldn't find out its original name..but that it not an issue at all..thanks to our friends across the border😆

no they shouldn't change the names ... but i guess they are doing this so people woun't watch them on net but still no use becasue many people asking the orignal names of the shows on zee facebook & youtube & they getting the orignal names
& changed names sounds weird to me ... thank GOD they didn't changed ZGH name otherwise it will be zindagi kakah na thi or kashaf zaroon diary 😆

I'm strongly against changing the title names. They did it for Durr-e-Shehwar (Dhoop Chhaon), Man-O-Salwa (Tere Ishq Mein), Mirat-Ul-Uroos (Aaina Dulhan Ka), Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishaan (Kaisi Ye Qayamat), Gohar-e-Nayab (Gauhar) okay fine. Because the original titles would not make any sense to Indian audience as those have pure urdu words.

But what I don't like is that this is now being applied for every second drama now. Why did they change Bezubaan's original title? It didn't have any difficult urdu word. The same applies for Mera Saaya, Khwahishein, Piya Re, Ye Galiyaan Ye Chaubaara... Their original titles would have gone well with the audience here... 🤔
