Akbar did not go for 40 days to visit Salim so he went only after Oct 10th

In those days a pregnancy was risky business so husband usually avoid spending time with wife who has just given birth as current baby cannot be nursed if she is pregnant again and if not nursed by own mom it may not survive. And Akbar was no fool he had Salim at age 27-28 considered too late in those times why risk his only son born after decade wait chance of living? There is no way he is sure he may have another son although his other wives were pregnant(Khannum was born Dec 1569, 3 months after Salim and Murad after 9 months). So he is not going to risk his only son life and chance of survival by spending time with MUZ.

And no where a Murad was mentioned as premature in akbarnama or jehangirnama, even if he is premature he would be 7 months old. In 21st century a 7th month baby has less chance of survival and require ventilator etc to breathe as its not easy to breathe at that age easily and they are highly susceptible to disease and death

In 16th century a 9 month full mature baby had 30% chance of survival so out of 10 babies born normal 3 lived 3 years and more. So a 7 month baby surviving is next to impossible in those times. Also, Murad was brought up by Salima why give him to her if mom is alive? Will not mom nurse him better that too if he is premature baby best to leave with mom than give to others. Salim was born in 9 months, Akbar could give Salim to Salima and leave Murad with Jodha if both were her sons. But he did not do that means Murad is either Salima son or born to a cocubbine and given to her.

Jehangirnama - British Library copy states he was a cocubbine son.

So whether Salima or cocubbine son he was not MUZ son for sure
