SeHaan, Rehaan's quest to find his Sunehri + his POV

Another essay post coming up. Brace yourselves. 🤣

So, I was watching the New Year's episode for the umpteenth time and realized just how well SS has grown as an actor. I once caught sight of his scene with Aahil where they talked about what life has in store for them, and I was struck by how wooden he was there. I just rolled my eyes and moved on, unaware that I will one day fall for the same character head over heels.😆 I do love my good boys.😳😆

Now I look back and realize the implication of that scene, the hints that the writers kept giving for SeHaan. If you rewatch the scenes, you will notice them too. I always knew that Asya's daughter will end up with Billi's son. The story arc is so rich with angst and hurdles, it's a writers wet dream. So when Aahil turned out to be her step son, I was surprised and wondered what the writers were upto. Then I came to know about Rehaan but I knew Sanam was for Aahil. I seriously though the writers were dumb to not take advantage of such an amazing plot. Then Seher was introduced and I knew she will be paired with Rehaan. I saw their scene and was struck by Seher's OTT drama but it made sense. Rehaan is a very grounded, subdued human being. If Sanam had been his partner, they would have had the most boring children in the world.😆

Opposites attract and Seher is perfect to draw him out of his darkness. She balances him, makes him laugh, amuses him, gives him hope. And most of all, loves him truly and freely. He is and always will be her priority. She chose him over millions so imagine how much she must value him. She is exactly what he needs and he is exactly what she needs. He will keep her grounded and loved and cared for. Something she never had. She too is his priority. They are the perfect pair for me.

For some reason SS was not given as many scenes as I would have liked him to have after SeHaan's break up. Maybe it was because of the movie he was shooting for. I am happy for him but I'm sad about how much we lost out as SeHaan fans. There was so much, so much to show. It was not shown but I am positive, he searched and searched tirelessly for his Sunehri. When he couldn't find her, he asked forgiveness from his God and searched for her again. For days on end. Haunting the temple and the outhouse(?) near the Kohinoor project. Hoping to catch a glimpse of her. He must have asked and asked again, holding out her picture to the vendors(Maybe on his cellphone?), getting dejected when no one could help him. Giving them a message for her. Giving them his number to contact him when she finally makes an appearance. He must have sat for hours in his car, outside the temple every Tuesday hoping for her appearance. Wanting to give their relation another chance. Every passing day must have brought him dejected depression. She was no where to be found. Did she leave? Did he really throw away the only good thing in his life? Was this his punishment for throwing away his love? To live without her his whole life? To live without love?

Then he got a call from home; was told about the marriage and the party. He looked lost and lonely as he tried to make his brother see sense. His hope was finally dwindling. It was almost 3 weeks. No way was Sunehri still in Bhopal. He tried to bury himself in work and then his Ammi almost died. He was so so angry with his friend. How could she try to kill someone, his own Ammi? He'd put her on a pedestal and she fell and how. Emotions hazed logic. All he could feel was anger and disappointment. He, like his brother refused to hear her out. Then a miracle happened. He found his Sunehri. He didn't wonder about her impersonation or the implication of her being in IM. His eyes roved over her desperately, noticing the difference for the first time. He knew. But still all he wanted to hear was her confirmation of her real identity. He pleaded for the truth. His last sentence was very telling "Listen. Please please tell me you are MY Sunehri." He was already sure. He didn't call her Sanam. He gripped her hand, hoping his touch would break her silence and it did.

Her nod freed him from the rigid control he had been imposing on himself. He hugged her close, relief coursing through him. Emotions mingling into one another. She gripped his blazer, pushing herself closer to him and he mirrored it. His love was not lost. She was in his arms right now and he won't ever let her go. But he suddenly remembered that his Sunehri was the one being accused for poisoning his Ammi. Still he didn't push her away. He will never push her away now. He backed away slowly and asked everything that was on my mind and Seher answered. She will not make the same mistake of withholding or lying to him again.

He was shattered by the truth but he couldn't deny that his Ammi is ruthless enough to do everything that Seher was accusing her of. He listened to the con she pulled but faced with his mother crime of killing her parents and her family, did her con matter that much? After all she turned out the way she is today because of the devastation his Ammi caused. Besides Seher did rescue and bring her sister back. She is trying to put everything back together. Can he dare be angry on her for fooling everyone? No, maybe his brother can but not him. He told her about his real identity maybe dreading her rejection but she trusts him more than his parentage. She didn't hold it against him and multiple murder trumps a con job so he decided to fight with his love and his friend. He will save his brother. He will get his friend back together with his brother. He will undo the damage done to their relationship with his Sunehri's help. He will oust his Ammi's real face to the world. The hardest job for a child. Almost impossible but he will do it because he has always stood for the right.

I'm glad he didn't refuse to believe when Seher laid out his Ammi's truth. He rose up to the occasion and I admire him for it. Standing against a parent is hard and everyone who kept harping on how he is a criminal and con too for hiding Billi's truth will know now that he thought she was doing everything because of her love and guilt for him. He could hardly oust her for it. It's like your parent stealing milk for your hunger and you going to the police and complaining against them. He had no idea the darkness she had inside her. He never dreamth she killed the Nawab or the guilt she placed on Aahil. He never knew that she was capable of taking a life. When he did come to know her truth, he decided to help the twins bring Billi down. That takes guts and unimaginable strength of will.

And now for the fight. All they need to do is prove Billi is unstable. A few sightings spied by Khalu-Khala of SeHaan hugging or romancing while Sanam is with Aahil should do it. It will cement the idea that Billi is going loony or that team TKK are trying to undermine Sanam in his eyes. I think this is what will nudge Billi on getting her eyesight back. I dunno how they will manage that. It's already been more than a week since Seher and Billi challenged each other. An eye operation is pretty quick these days. You can go home 2 hours after it's done. But it needs almost 2 weeks of rest and the patient is asked not strain the eyes. Which will leave only a week for the plan to hit crescendo for her downfall. I must admit that I am intrigued. Also, let's not forget Billi has one Ace in her kitty for Seher. Seher will be hit hard when she comes to know that Rehaan used to have feelings for Sanam. She will doubt their love then. It will be a major blow to her trust and strength. Rehaan will have to do something huge to make her believe that he loves her and only her.

😲That is a longgg post. I think I'd better stop before my essay turns into a mini novel. 🤣

Unres!

I absolutely agree wih everything mentioned from the start to the end! Obviously Shehzad has improved, he's the kind of guy who can improve day by day. I always knew that Rehan and Sanam would never be paired together as Rehan was just like someone that could clear Ahil's feelings for Sanam. Because Rehan and Sanam became close friends, Ahil got jealous and that was the main reason on why he actually confronted Sanam about it!

I had always wondered where Seher had been all along and why they weren't showing her, but when the CV's made it clear that SaHil were meant to be together, I knew that it would be Rehan who would fall for Seher! After it was revealed that he was Billi's son, my assumption couldn't have been any right! Because really, that would be the real defeat of Billo, when her own son ditches her for a girl! Even better - AsYa's daughter!

I agree that Opposites Attract, if it didn't, tv couples would've been so boring because either no-one would make the first move or someone from the couple would always be ready to make a move! SeHan are a perfect mix for me and I love it just the way it is! I guess I'm just tired of the love stories where the man is the dominating one and also man handles the woman and even worse when the woman is just another 'Abla Naari', but then turns into a woman that gives comebacks to the guy and eventually changes the guy into a good person, and when you really need that avatar of that woman in certain situations, she goes back into being an 'Abla Naari' that just cries in the end! I guess I have this thing for cute love stories that have every element needed - Love, Pain, Separation, Trust, Understanding, Crave, Angst and what not?

I'm also happy that Rehan and Seher trusted each other because really that shows that a person learns from their mistakes and I'm so glad they didn't repeat their mistakes because it would've just lead to more misunderstandings in the future, which I'm sure no SeHanian would want!

I'm going to love the current track, I just know it! I can't wait to see what it has in store for us. It would be awesome to see Billi getting defeated by someone who even she can't defeat, even if she wants to - her own son! I forgot that Tanveer has another trick up her sleeve, which is to instigate Seher against Rehan! Which I hope she never succeeds in. If she comes to know about Rehan and Sanam, then Rehan has to literally sweat blood, because convincing someone that you love 'them' not their 'twin' who looks exactly like them is pretty hard, I guess! Time to pull your socks up Mr. Qureshi and time for us to actually be entertained now. The fun has only just begun!

There you go! Not exactly long enough to be called a novel, but I guess you could call it an essay! Really upto you mate! ;)

I prefer to call it my views and opinions on the point given, but I guess your 'fannys' don't understand that simple logic! 🤣

A more passionate advocate of Rehan I've yet to see! !

I agree with everything you wrote except the eye op thing.

Eye ops that allow you to go home after couple of hours is a cataract op or minor cosmetic eye ops.

But Billi has a stone eye on her left, pretty much Nothing can be done there, but the right eye is probably scarred due to trauma. So a corneal transplant would be logical. But it's no cakewalk. You need to have a donor and an extremely sterile environment not in any body's bedroom.

I know ... Serials are no place for logic. ..but it's these misinformation that people pick up and apply in real life. It annoys me like mad.

But yes! Rehan's feelings are so apt in your depiction. .. I also feel Rehan will make Sunehri accountable for what she did in Sanam's place.

But I don't agree that he will join the sisters in tricking Billi. I think he will use truth and discredit her in Aahil's eyes. I can't stomach seeing Rehan join in the game.

Nice longish post.
Sanam from the outset was destined for Aahil. And Sanam may appear subdued but she has a cheerful and OTT side to her too. Only 2 things bring this side of her out - Sanam-Da-Dhaba and Ahil.

Coming to Sehaan, Rehaan's mother murderer of twins' family. But by making Rehaan accept that his ammi is a murderer, they've lost a good amount of angst that could've been shown. Seher trying to distance herself, or Rehaan having difficulty in coming to terms that his ammi is a murderer. But CVs always stretch the most stupid plots and plots holding promise is just rushed through.

Bili playing the Rehaan-Sanam card on Seher. That sound interesting. I was almost expecting Tanveer to use this to further separate Saahil. But she didn't use it on Saahil. Maybe she will use it on Sehaan.
But CVs most probably have forgotten that Rehaan had some feelings for Sanam.

Eye operation - the ops you have mentioned is for Cataract, where they are discharged within 2 hours. But eye replacement must require a lot more time I guess. I wonder how writers can miss out on basics while writing. Is there someone going trhu what the writers churn out.

Yaar I literally used to wince at his scenes. He used to be so robotic almost. But he has improved so so much. Imagine how better he'd have gotten if he had more scenes to improve himself as an actor. But better late than never I say. I haven't really watched Rehaan and Sanam scenes because they give me the hibby jibbies. LOL. She is his SIL and him having had feelings for her anytime in the past gives me the creeps. But good for SaHil, who stopped fighting their attraction and love because of jealousy brought on by Rehaan. It must have been very painful for Rehaan though to see his crush falling for his brother. That is a personal hell, I wouldn't wish on anyone.

I had always wondered where Seher had been all along and why they weren't showing her, but when the CV's made it clear that SaHil were meant to be together, I knew that it would be Rehan who would fall for Seher! I thought they shelved the idea of the twin actually when they didn't bring her for months. It's funny but I caught some episodes here and there with my sister and I actually liked RaHa scenes much more. When my sister showed me the promo of Seher entering, I thought the show didn't need it. 🤣 They were doing fine with SaHil and RaHa. RaHa were something different with the girl being mute and deaf and the army guy falling for her. It was about time Indian TV showed that a girl with such disabilities was not lacking and can get a good guy, so I was on board. Unfortunately, I lost interest way too fast. And when my sister showed me Seher's scenes, I actually winced and left the living room, grumbling about OTT characters.🤣 But it made sense to me that they will make Billi's son fall for AsYa's daughter. Asad was a friend, him choosing Zoya over her burned Billi but her own son choosing AsYa's daughter over her will be like constant acid dripping on her wounds. One of the very apt punishment for her, I think. And him actually helping the twins to take her down. That would be a parents hell.

I agree that Opposites Attract, if it didn't, tv couples would've been so boring because either no-one would make the first move or someone from the couple would always be ready to make a move! Oh God, don't even start me on jerk heroes. These M&B books and TV shows give such wrong message to the young generation about such guys. Many of the time, they cannot and will not change. I read this book once where the hero addresses this issue. let me find the quote. It's damn good.

This is what I believe in. Fall for the man who he truly is, not for his potential. They rarely achieve it and you are left disappointed and jaded. And hence Rehaan is the perfect hero for me. He has flaws, he is not perfect but even with the flaws, he's a good guy. I think in my history of watching Indian shows, I have always, always watched shows and fallen for heroes who are good guys. Never a tortured hero who acts like a jerk. I love my light hearted lovestories. The world is already too dark, at least give us light and hope though fictional stories.

I'm also happy that Rehan and Seher trusted each other because really that shows that a person learns from their mistakes and I'm so glad they didn't repeat their mistakes because it would've just lead to more misunderstandings in the future, which I'm sure no SeHanian would want!

I too loved that both of them learned from their mistakes. That is growth. Human's learn from their mistake. I've always maintained that. If you do the same mistake again, you are not human anymore. 😆 And I don't mind misunderstandings actually if brought on logically. Stupid MU's just make me want to go Ghajini on them and give permanent amnesia to characters. 😆 But I don't want any MU right now..they have gotten together after 3 longgg months. They deserve happiness and some light hearted moments.

I'm going to love the current track, I just know it! I can't wait to see what it has in store for us. It would be awesome to see Billi getting defeated by someone who even she can't defeat, even if she wants to - her own son! I am excited for the current track too. Many people will deny it but a good show is as good as it's leads and the villain/vamp. If any of them are lacking, the show goes down the drain. What good will be a antogonist if he/she is stupid? Billi is anything but that and sorry but I love it. She is smart and cunning and now interestingly she has gotten an opponent who is a perfect match for her. I think Seher maybe somewhat smarter than Billi. She has to be to defeat her.

I think Billi is smart enough to hit Seher will that card. It will crumble Seher's stand for some time. We've already seen that she has put Rehaan on a pedestal and to realize that he loved her sister and maybe doesn't love her at all, will conclude in excruciating pain to her. Every word he uttered to her, about her, during the swap is going to haunt him. And actually I'm looking forward to that. Trials and turbulence makes a couple strong and SeHaan have had almost an easy time of it because they are both so practical. Get me some angst! 😃But before that I want loads of romance. I am greedy like that. 🤣
