Right after the marriage, she wanted to change sagarika's name to parvathi .. To match shivprasad's name. Sagarika was opposed to this thought. Have since stopped watching this regressive show so dont know if she went through the legal name change .. I come to the forum to read up on the updates ... And it seems to regress more and more.

Amma was told she can call her Parvati because amma was stubborn as a mule and not ready to give in. The only other person that calls her Parvati is dadi. Others still call her Sagarika
