Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were spotted looking very cozy together and shopping in Soho, New York City on Friday. Is Zanessa back on, or did it never close up shop? Is this damage control by Zac and Ness? Fans of the couple were stunned by this week's Star Magazine that claimed the couple had split and he was now with Hairspray co-star Nikki Blonsky.

Claiming a secret off-screen romance the weekly entertainment magazine reported that Blonsky and her "new guy" have been inseparable these past few weeks. And if they aren't spending quiet time together in New York or L.A., they're either talking on the phone or texting. "As crazy as it sounds, Zac is completely taken with Nikki," a source spilled to the magazine.

Zanessa fans were shocked! Baby V earlier told the Hollywood Exclusive, "I like to keep my personal life to myself, so people almost invading it is odd, but I respect the fans. They just want to know more, so …" she then shrugged her shoulders.
