Udit's personal agenda against Amit??

I was reviewing Amit's performances since the piano rounds and noticed 1 distint behaviours in Udit's commentary on Amit:

he has constantly tried to back stab Amit at a critical stage..

i.e. he gave Amit a very bad comment at least 2 times during the piano rounds specially at a very critical moment during the wild card round and during the gala rounds he was very critical of Amit in the first 2 galas. This gala he pulled Amit's leg again and gave him no credit for doing well in a song that is not his forte.

Now I hear that Udit has given Amit another bad comment in the coming gala #7. Why does Udit has marked Amit since the start of this season?

Reason #1: Amit's voice is so damn good that Udit feels that his son Aditya's career is threatened.

Reason #2: Udit doesnt want a male singer to win the competition because everyone knows that since last 1 year he has been crazily promoting his son taunting him as the next #1 male singer of bollywood and landing him a coveted anchor position at Sa Re Gama. So Udit has come prepared with a set mindset... pull the legs of all talented male singers of II3.

Anyways.. Mr Udit can continue his mischevious ways and we can simply watch...

I don't see why accomplished singers would have any vendetta against contestants from reality show. There is no comparison.

How can we forget Udit ji's appreciation in Amit's Pehla nasha and Nasha ye pyaar? I am satisfied with limited but actual praise.

I think the reason could be that Udit ji never connected to Amit may be. Amit is a singer who slowly made his way to our hearts. Udit ji expects a lot from Amit so showers his praise only when he is the best.

The vandetta is not because of personal bias.. its because he is blocking anyone who can potentially impede his son's career. This thing are very common in bollywood and music industry. Thats why without connections you simply cannot survive in that industry.

Anyways, I do feel that at critical moments, udit has never supported Amit. This is a letdown for II but I do hope that janta understands this.

Amit's voice is very soft and romantic.. perfectly fit for a hero in bollywood. And thats why Mr Udit feels threatened for his son.

Thats the main thing for becoming a great bollywood playback singer.. to have a 'hero's voice. Karunya is a wonderful singer but he doesnt have a playback singers voice. Many other great singers cant sing for heroes.

You need to have that youthful exuberance and 'khanak' in your voice to be able to sing for a hero. Amit has that quality and that scares Udit bigtime because he feels that Amit can sing songs for top level heroes like SRK, Aamir, etc whose songs have been sung by Udit in the past 10 years or so.

Thats where the money is in bollywood and thats exactly where Udit wants his son Aditya to be in 1-2 years... singing for SRK, Aamir, Hrithik, etc..

I really don't find any connection between Aditya and Amit. It is easier of Aditya because he is Udit's son and also now has a huge fan following thanks to srgmp. Still he has to prove himself. We all know what happened to Kishore Kumar's son Amit Kumar and Mukesh's son Nitin Mukesh.

I am a big fan of Amit but I am not juvenile to actually think that II platform will make him an overnight star. We have tons of talent shows and there is no comparison between Amit and other singers. So sorry I really don't get your point and argument.😛

I totally disagree. Udit praised Amit twice. Agreed both were Udit's songs, but I think its hard for an established singer to praise someone on the song they sung. That would show that the singer is insecure, so I don't think Udit is insecure.
I do agree that Amit deserved more praise for the Omkara. But saying that it's not Amit's forte would be wrong. Amit is versatile, just because he sang two romantic numbers one after the other is not a reason to stereotype him. I think Amit had trouble remembering the lyrics, but still sung the song well.

Think about it.. why doesnt Sonu Nigam despite being the best ever singer/voice in India cannot sing Aamir, Hrithik and SRK etc's mainstream songs but Udit and Shaan, does.. Why does Kay Kay gets more mainstream songs than Sonu??

Playback singers for heroes are a niche of their own.. to have a hero's voice is everything in bollywood.. its a multimillion rupee business. Just being a good singer is not enough.. to have that voice is even more important.

And Amit has that voice. In the three IIs that I have watched only Amit can sing for SRK or Aamir..

Sonu nigam has sung about 3/4 songs for Hrithik, Salman and SRK, and that too mainstream songs. Infact last year it was Sonu Nigam who was singing the most number of songs. K.K has hardly sung songs for Salman, Hrithik, SRK, Aamir.

But I do agree that Amit does have a playback singer's voice. His voice is unique like Anu Malik said.
