The way they engaged fans online was amazing! 👏
The entire team be it the actors, producer, writer, everyone was very interactive online through sites like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc. They were all very patient in checking out responses of viewers online and never lost cool no matter what.
I have seen some writers and celebs use abusive language when they get irritated at slightest criticism. Or they get sarcastic and ask fans to make a show/film themselves.
But not the team of Ek Hasina Thi!
They either remained silent or gave polite responses to fans.
AYUB KHAN is the rockstar as no one is as humble, approachable to fans and mindful of their wishes as he is!😊 He not only shared pics of cast from the sets, but also looked at and shared write ups and artwork by fans! That's amazing because otherwise stars overlook what fans do or just give a general reply to all instead of specifically giving attention to individual posts. I had different impression of him due to films like Mrityudand and DCH.😆 But seeing him interact online I was pleasantly surprised. He is always patient despite persistent requests of fans, often connected fans to other stars and it was sweet to see him get Vatsal to give an autographed pic to fans who persisted! Truly never seen this level of engagement by a celeb with his fans.
KISHWER MERCHANT - Her Twitter and Instagram are haven for fans of any show she is in!😊 She regularly posts the best pics with all co stars and cute selfies! Extremely social media savvy she too checks tweets of all and RTs them. She too chimes in for live chats on Twitter, obviously her fans cannot get enough of her.
VATSAL SHETH - He used to conduct games, tweeted lots of pics with co stars, even tweeted solo pics of Simone Singh who was not on Twitter, just for fans. Vatsal was the most creative of them all with his collages, edits and games. He is the first one to have live chat with fans on Facebook, of his own accord and not as promotional activity organised by channel. Also sportive to share spoofs on him as Shaurya.
MIHIR MISHRA - He keeps uploading pics of whole cast and fans lap it up. His interactions with his co stars are fun.
SANJEEDA SHEIKH - A very social media savvy actor and engages fans a lot. The way she uploads pics, retweets fan stuff, uploads her own video messages for fans and often asks her fan clubs to upload videos of her dance performances on TV shows the close relationship she shares with fans. Same for AAMIR ALI. They share family pics too. No wonder their diehard fans are simply addicted.
SIDDHARTH MALHOTRA - The one producer who really pays attention to fans! He will retweet tweets, respond to feedback and does not being tagged in tweets or pics. Producers are generally not as interactive as he is.
SAPNA MALHOTRA: The designer as well as wife of producer. She did not interact much in last few months but was very responsive to fans earlier and tweeted lot of news and pics. She would also respond to fan complaints!
JYOTI GAUBA and BHUVNESH MAM - They gradually grew active on Twitter and treated fans with lot of offscreen pics, group selfies. They did reply to fans and Bhuvnesh's jugalbandi tweets with Ayub Khan in last few weeks sent fans in tizzy as both posted funny pics with funnier captions.
VICKY ARORA - He uses all social media platforms very well. Not only uploads offscreen pics but also sporting enough to share spoofs and edits on him. The way he asks for feedback after uploading his videos is nice and shows he is committed to progress.
FAHAD SAMAR : He had been getting tweets and tags since show took off and some discovered he was Simone Singh's husband. He finally responded to fans around Simone's birthday and still replies be it to parodies, FCs or individual fawning fans. It's admirable of him to be patient with persistent tweets of fans requesting him to convey their messages to Simone, or asking her to join Twitter etc. He is famous and busy in his own right but to engage wife's fans is truly admirable considering he is not even a part of this show!😊
SAMMEER ARORA: As writer of the show he gets all sorts of feedback! 😆 But he is patient in his responses. He will never trash an opinion. He politely stands by his work than get overtly defensive. He too is sporting enough to let fans post on his Facebook and Twitter, shares fan edits and write ups and never blocks or deletes anyone.
POONAM PREET : She will post lot of pics, reply to fans, RT tweets, engage on Instagram. Such interaction is always a delight for fans.
TEENA CHOPRA: She too would share lot of offscreen pics and reply to fans, favorite their comments. Even when the show featured her less and there were rumours of her quitting.
BHUPINDER SINGH : He was a tad less active compared to other stars of Ek Hasina Thi but always the first one to share crucial news with them. He did post many pics on his official Facebook and Twitter pages for fans, including even his school days pics! The only one to have his proper official website, he too was a fan's delight with his responses.
VIKRAM SINGH CHAUHAN - He too shared many pics on Instagram and Twitter. Shaurya's friends werw a hit online!
I have never seen actors and team of any show interact and engage this much with fans online as much as the Ek Hasina Thi ones did. The way they themselves also surfed through websites to gauge reaction, the way they responded to fans, followed and acknowledged FCs, shared news with fans and shated fans' work amongst each other was brilliant. Their patience to handle fan feedback without blocking or abusing was admirable. In many ways it was their online engagement that made fans feel closer attachment to the show and feel like family.
I especially made this topic to thank them all!😊 It was first time I followed a show online, to this extent. It's as much due to the show's concept as it is due to its team. Any acknowledgement or reply means a lot to fans, the EHT team sure knows how to keep fans happy online. 👍🏼
Even the FCs of Ek Hasina Thi on social networks are cool and cooperative. No one fought. They all support each other.
Truly it was a memorable experience and this sheer niceness of the team and FCs will make parting with the show even more difficult.
