According to the clauses stated in the contract, all contestants during the tenure of the show cannot sign any new TV shows or take up any professional assignments till the show is on. This means that now they will have to wait till February, before accepting any work assignment. We spoke to some of the evicted contestants about this development:

Although we know for sure that the extension is happening, no one has informed us about it. We are just twiddling our thumbs doing nothing and when we call the production house, they refuse to comment whether our contract has been extended or we can accept other assignments. I have lost out on two TV shows, which is upsetting. It is completely unprofessional to not inform the participants about the same. Why is the production house not showing any sense of responsibility?
Diandra Soares
I have a two-film project with Pooja Bhatt and since I had accepted Bigg Boss, I could not start work at that time. Now, the shooting starts in February, so I have time. For all you know, I might be back on the show.
They have asked us not to sign any TV shows, but there has been no word on films, so let's see what happens.

I am still waiting for them to get back to us and be reasonable. I am fine with the contract and will abide by the rules till February, but I have lost out on shows. I also lost out on an opportunity to perform for a New Year event, which was going to be telecast on TV. I am hoping that the makers will give us some clarity on this.
Soni Singh
It is getting very irritating. Yes, I have lost out on two shows and three events. This is the time when we need to work hard and earn money, instead we are sitting at home doing nothing. The production house has not even bothered to inform us that such an extension is happening. People inside the house know about it and we are clueless. If they are not modifying the contract, they should pay us or have a discussion through which both parties can stand to gain. I had already blocked my dates till January 3, now I can't even go out on a holiday because it will be expensive.
