Abhi's.....feelings

I don't really post here much but I have been following the show (yay wedding drama), and I'm not really clear on Abhi's characterization. Now I know that both Pragya and Abhi are clearly not who they were at the beginning of the show, but Abhi's recent behavior has me confused. So bear my ramblings.


I understand Pragya's "love" for Abhi, or rather I think her admiration of him (because to me, you can't truly love someone who treats you so badly)

But what about Abhi, and what are his views on Pragya?

I'm glad that this wedding drama track did not culminate with him developing feelings for Pragya. That wouldn't make any sense and really there's nothing to love about Pragya these days except for her incessant crying.


But where exactly does he stand on Pragya?

He told Aaliya that he does not love that "ladki" and still wants her to get out of his life. Ok. But then he burned the divorce papers that would have allowed him to be free of her (and her of him). Now that Pragya has been proven innocent, they could have still divorced amicably since they're not in a real marriage anyways, and he could go to the "love of his life" Tanu.

It also doesn't seem like he's upset at Tanu (seems like she and Mitali got away scot free). So the "love of his life" is here to stay.

...but he also wants Pragya around too. Hence he tried to seduce her, twice. And was upset that she once was in love with Suresh.


What I think is, he doesn't love her, heck I don't think he considers her even a close one at this point, even though she's really been extremely supportive of him (*cough doormat cough*). Rather he's just become possessive of her since she is married to him.

I don't think he even feels guilty that he put her in this sham marriage because he still does not consider her completely innocent. From his conversation with Aaliya, I thought Abhi still considered Pragya guilty of backstabbing Aaliya with the reveal of Purab & Bulbul's relationship...hence he repeatedly said that he wasn't upset that Aaliya did this to Pragya (ouchh), but rather what would Dadi think?

I'm just trying to wrap my head around Abhigya's relationship at the moment, because it seems one has "fallen" for the other, while the other is simply indifferent. I just am having a tough time figuring out where Abhi is emotionally right now.

He is very unsure of his emotions. He has acted several times out of instinct which seem like he has deep emotions for her. When she is at the hospital he gets so worried (when she is donating blood), when she falls on KC night, he gets all concerned.. so yeah, there are so many such examples.

But I don't know if his MU over Pragya/BB plotting to take Purab away from Aaliyah is solved or not. From future episode BTS, he himself approves of RaBul marriage, so if he has accepted RaBul, I don't know why his hatred over Pragya will sustain. He also ties Pragya mangalsutra back (willingly).

He does have feelings for Pragya, whether he is able to coherently interpret them is doubtful at this point. And Tannu, I don't think, even he believes as his love of his life. He has never told Tannu that but has definitely told it to Pragya just to get to her or to make her feel bad. I don't think Tannu is much of an issue given even previously he has ignored her at various situations.

We don't know yet if Tannu is caught or not. Right now, Abhi would be too overwhelmed with Aaliyah to deal with Tannu/Mitali even if he knows something about them.

Hopefully the next few episodes will shed light on Abhi's stand on Pragya.

That's what I found surprising is that Aaliya got caught, but her minions did not...I would think he would put two and two together...hopefully it will happen in the next few episodes.

That and that the MU between him and Pragya still exists. A major driving theme in this show is that Abhi is the one always misunderstanding her, so I would have thought that after Pragya was found innocent that all the misunderstandings between them would be gone and they could have started a tentative friendship of sorts. But Abhi is so unsure that he takes one step forward and two steps back.

he doesn't love tannu...he has feelings for pragya but he does not realise it...lets see what happens...i am glad that this MMS track is over...it was annoying...i hope this new abhi sustain forever...he can take time falling in love with pragya...but its time for him to stop getting influenced by others...and he should have his own brains intact and takes a decision of his life...its his life...its him who can control it...neither aaliya..pragya...tannu should influence it...its a new start and beginning for Abhigya...lets hope its a beautiful journey...from here on...the trust factor will work in their relationship...dadi is back to guide abhi too...lets see how its deal...

@Mages: that's a really good point...Abhi does not think for himself, and in order for Abhi and Pragya to move forward, he also needs to learn how to not get manipulated by others around him

As far as Rabul go, they aren't going to be smooth sailing soon. I totally think Aaliya will end up married to Purab somehow...but even if that track happens, I don't want Bulbul to end up being paired with Suresh.

Personally, I am trying to understand Abhi.

Abhi is a guy who suffers from superiority complex. When the suresh thing came in front him he was hurt be oz it hurt his ego. He couldn't bear the thought that a woman sharing his room can share bed with sum1 of suresh's standard( he thinks sure sh is far inferior than he could ever be).. Plus he is used to getting women's' attention .. So the fact and realisation that pragya gives him extra bhaw doesn't bother him much.. He thinks it is only natural. C'mon better, prettier and far more successful ladies have hit on him, had crushes on him or perhaps even innocently admired him. So everything pragya does is not new to him but the contrary DOES bother him.. He is not used to being treated like a second fiddle, he can't stand the fact that pragya will have things for suresh when she should have crush on him. That's why he was irritated. Plus somehow he really liked tanu( though she is bitch he is totally unaware of it).. He must have chosen her out of so many lucrative options be oz he sumhw felt for her, she used to make him weak.. But that does not mean he loved her either. Its just a sort of strong crush, infatuation and a comfort of great friendship( they are indeed great friends, he tells her almost everything, he still considers her a very special part of his life). I think the onl y peoplehe loves are aliya and dadi
Others he just takes care of, treats nicely, sumhw makes happy... ( he is basically a nice human being. So he wants good for every1). That's it...

Do you remember when he said he doesn't believe in love? He doesn't yet. And he never did. He may profess to 'love' Tannu, but he knows that it's a superficial saying he says to her, and does not have any solid meaning to it. Abhi has never experienced the emotions Pragya is experiencing - Pragya is indeed somewhat of a love-struck doormat now, but leaving her aside - Abhi is not at the stage where she is. Feelings..Abhi has attraction, yes. Abhi has care for her, undoubtedly. Abhi is possessive, very. But he has not come to terms with the idea of 'love' veritably because he doesn't believe in it.

I truly believe that the love track between A&P has not started as of yet..Pragya, as you have said, respects him, and thinks that's love..but both need to truly fall in love. And I mean truly. I think the CVs will build to a track where they will endure something so huge [perhaps or perhaps not involving Tannu, we've gotta see] that they will succumb and realize they are in love with each other. For Prags, it'll be a true realization that she LOVES him-from respect & adoration to true love. For Abhi, it'll be a shocking explosion of emotion..for a man who doesn't believe in love, he will fall in love with her. In other words, where do we go from here? Probably eventually to this track. I don't know how long it'll take, but it's most likely going to end up this way. :P

As for RaBul, they have a truly rocky road ahead for them. Suresh is in the picture now, and most problematically, Aaliyah is too. Aaliyah is hell bent on getting Purab, and I think their marriage will most likely end in huge drama.

Thanks RadianrSanz...and I definitely agree, the love track between them has not started yet. The makers are clearly taking their time developing the storyline, although for me at times it is a bit too slow😆

Yeah that's a really good point, women fell for him quite easily whereas Pragya was not impressed. And that definitely plays into his frustration concerning Pragya. Why was she attracted to Suresh of all people, but not to him, "THE ROCKSTAR".

Up until recently Pragya did a really good job hiding her feelings, but I think now Abhi is aware that even he can affect her. But his superiority complex is another reason as to why he is in such a muddled state now
