He doesn't take chances, he doesn't accept challenges, he stays away from the limelight. He doesn't even realise he can play pool well. Some people are afraid of not darkness but light so they hide behind shadows.

For me, Naasir and Anjali today summed up what Akaash is made of. For some very valid reasons, Akaash has built walls and shut himself away from the world. It's glaring how every person Akaash has loved and been close to has been taken away from him. Whether it's his parents, whether it's his best friend and lately, he almost lost Shikha Maa. He is a lot more accepting of his more-than-platonic feelings towards Anjali but I doubt he was going to reveal anything in the conversation which was cut short by her. Maybe taking their relationship a step further would mean he could lose her as well. And that is what scares him. He is afraid she might never know. Is it defence mechanism which is making him hide from the possibility that his victory can be written in the very next moment?

P.S. I am really not interested in this Yeti business. Someone please tell me today was the first and last time so much time was spent on it!

I love this guy more with each episode. He looks at Anjali for confidence and assurance. Then she gives that pep talk which is so apt for him but the very next minute she brings him down again to ground level by cutting him short. I don't blame her at all because she's going through a turmoil of emotions herself.

Even the yeti song, she walked away which gave it away even more. Aakash was left wondering. I wonder if he will take this constant 'rejection' as a sign not to pursue anything.

That subtle angst you mentioned before was so there </3

I don't think he has the intention of pursuing from his side anyway, unless she gives a clear sign. She avoided the conversation because she knew who 'the person' was but I doubt he was going to give that out by himself. But I do also feel that he can take this as a sign of rejection. Maybe that can be a good thing initially to avoid 'distraction'. Anjali is not open to a future with him yet because she wants to marry where her father wishes for her to. But as her love for him fizzles (and rightly so) and she finds herself through Everest, she might at the end have it in her to go against his wishes and take a step further with Akaash. I am not expecting any major development on that front till the mission proceeds and every step closer to the Summit will be their step closer to each other. On a side-note, though, I am very fond of Vidhaan till now.

I am loving Akaash more with each episode too..
Agree with what you said. He hides himself and fears to explore his possibilities. THe news channel introduced him as someone who has achieved so many things in his career. Yet the tragedies have left him under confident , and he is just scared of further rejections .. He tries to push himself and makes an effort to overcome his issues, but lacks the drive that is needed to succeed. And Anjali is that possibility for him, who has faith in him..

i think both of them are stuckwith so many things, they just need to zone themselves out , and then everything will slowly fall into place. the journey is very important for them and they should be together to fight the issues together.

@Bold: So true and so glaring! Akaash was at the peak of his career before the Gaurav incident, that's the reason he was chosen for the mission in the first place. But his personal emptiness cannot be filled by professional success. He has Shikha Maa but he needs someone who will provide stability in his life. Anjali is that person. She has a calming and soothing effect on him and he knows this. But he doesn't seem to have the courage to confess because he is afraid she might not feel the same way. And her avoidance isn't helping. I think right now they only need to focus on Everest but ultimately they have to listen to their hearts, specially Anjali. When she sees beyond her father, she will know what she truly wants :)
