PART - 24

"KICK!!" A shoe tip touched Sikky's chin which was leaning towards madhu & he was thrown back far away from madhu with the hard kick & falls flat on floor with blood oozing from his mouth.

Madhu was startled with the sudden force & looks up to see what it was with her tear brimming eyes & she smiles in relief but still tears of pain flowing from her eyes, seeing her love, her Rishab standing tall with his hands fist & eyes burning in fury, if just a stare could send daggers then Sikky would be dead by now.

"U bloody bas***d!!! how dare u hurt my wife? My madhu" Rk furiously asks Sikky & stamps him hard on his chest & kicks him vigorously on his stomach making him feel a deadly pain but without stopping his ferocious kicks Rk shouts at him "If I know to save a life then I do know to kill a life. I will not spare u...i'll kill u" he raises him up holding his collar & kicks him with his knees on his stomach & he coughs bleeding from mouth.

"Arghh..." Madhu shouts a loud cry in pain & Rk stops hitting him hearing her cry & he quickly pushes him away & sikky sinks on the floor unconsciously & Rk hurries to madhu & picks her in his arms from the floor & gently settles her on the couch.

"Madhu...i'm here...i'm here...please don't cry, baby, please" he holds her close to his chest & rubs her arms & back to soothe her but she cries more burying her face to his chest.

"Rishab..." she breathes hard & scrunches her eyes tight in pain clutching her stomach with one hand & holding Rk's shirt with other.

"Rishab, please..please help me...its paining...please do something..." she begs him crying.

"Madhu, u lie down, I..i will come now" Rk says & tries to pries her hand from his shirt but she gripped him so tight. "Rishab, please don't leave me...i'm scared...please"

"Madhu, I will come in a moment" Rk says little forcefully & she quickly leaves her hold on him to go & she curls on the couch hugging her knees. Rk rushes to his room & takes out his medical kit & searches for a medication which will reduce her pain. Then he returned back to madhu on the way fetching a glass of water. "Madhu, take this pill" Rk says as he gently lifts her up to sit & made her lean on him & he forces in the medication on her mouth & made her drink water but she chokes & throws out the pill along with water spattering on the floor.

"Oh God!" he prays & takes out another tablet from the strip & made her take in slowly without throwing it out again.

"Madhu, Hold me" He tells & takes her hand forcefully which was gripping her belly & puts it around his neck & she holds his neck tight digging her nails in his skin to restrain her pain.

"U will be fine baby...I wont let anything happen to u..." Rk promises her & she nods in response. Soon her abdominal pain reduces & her grip on Rk's neck loosens & she fell asleep in Rk's arms.

Then Rk gently carries her in his arms without walking her, he walks straight to the bed room & made her stretch on bed comfortably. She looks pale & weak & tears strained all over her face. He adjusts her pillow & caresses her face & brushes away her tears with his thumb & without turning back he walks out of the room.

(Hours later)

Rk was sitting at the edge of the bed with one leg on the bed & other on the floor & his hands clasping madhu's hand & he was looking at her pale face as he waited for her to get back to conscious state.

A while later she slowly flickers her eyes struggling to keep it open but her vision went blurry as tears of fear stung on her eyes.

"Rishab..." She calls his name weakly & blinks her eyes to let the tears flow so that she can see him clearly. Hearing her voice, Rk looks up at her & scoots close to her & faintly smiles at her.

"how are u? How's ur pain?" Rk asks her.

"Gone. Thanks. What medication was that?"

"That was to stop ur abdominal pain & internal bleeding" he tells her & turns his face away.

"Rishab..." she calls him again, her voice filled with gut wrenching fear...fear for her baby.

"Hmm..."

"Look at me" she tries to sit up. "Lie down...don't move"

"What's wrong?" she panics.

"Nothing is wrong...everything is fine & u need complete bed rest. That's it" he clears the air.

"Baby?"

"Safe" he murmurs. She breathes in relief. "For now" he adds.

"What does that mean?" she asks him confused. He remains silent.

"Rishab, tell me clearly what's bothering u? Why u r so tensed? Are u okay?" She asks him worriedly.

"Madhu, just relax. I'm okay. I'll go get ur soup, u must be hungry. Till then u lie down" He orders her.

"I want water. I'm thirsty" she asks him & he helps her to sit up & adjusts her pillow to lean back.

"Here" he hands her a glass of water & walks out to bring her soup.

When he comes back from the kitchen with a bowl of soup he saw madhu crying burying her face to her palms. "Madhu..." he quickly rushes to her side in a flash & places the bowl on the side table & envelops her in his arms.

"Madhu, stop crying" he gently pats her head.

"I'm sorry, Rishab...sorry!!" she crying hugging him.

"Why are u saying sorry? What wrong u did?" he asks & tries to move her back to face her but she hugs him closely & wails against his shoulder.

"It's all my mistake. I should have listened to u. u warned me about pabho & sikky too but i didn't take ur words seriously & now we are suffering. I put u in pain too" she sobs.

"It's not ur mistake madhu...please dont blame urself. Even I had no idea that that loon will go to such level...i wish I could kill him" he says clenching his teeth.

"What u did to him? Where is he?" she asks him looking at his face.

"He is at the place where he deserves to stay...behind the bars." he says gritting his teeth. "I was in the verge to kill him for hurting u but I restrained myself from doing so because I have a wonderful life to live with u" he says & plants a kiss on her forehead.

"I was frightened, Rishab. He behaved like a psycho" she hugs him again.

"He is a psycho but don't worry, baby...he is gone...his chapter is over" he says assuring her but her tears refused to stop.

"Ssshh, baby. U r already weak so don't waste ur energy by crying & u know I can't see u in tears. Please" he pleads her. She nods & wipes her tears.

"Ur soup is getting cold so have it" he says & feeds her.

"Are u mad at me?" she asks.

"No, baby. i'm not angry with u"

"Really?"

"For a change."

"Yeah. Its a change & it feels great when I didn't get scoldings from u" she says softly. He shakes his head & continues feeding her.

"But still i'm mad at that f**ker who put u in this condition"

"He was following us from Mumbai, he knows our each & every move clearly. He was responsible for all the incidents took part in our life...he only send the photos on my birthday, he offered me job in his company to get me close, & that France trip was also a part of his plan...i get angry on myself when I think how I fought with u that day when u restricted from going on that trip. U were even right about Pabho, she was helping him. & Patil was the one passing information about us when we were in Mumbai"

"Patil?" Rk asks her in shock.

"Yes, he only cut the car break wires on Sikky's instruction. They planned it to..to..." she stammers.

"To kill me." Rk completes for her. "God, I could never imagine he was this dangerous"

"Did he hurt u?" Rk asks her. She remains still. "Madhu, tell me what happened exactly after I left?" Rk insists to tell everything.

"Enough" She stops him from feeding.

"Just finish it"

"Soup got cold...i don't like it" she says stubbornly. He sighs & places the bowl aside. He waited for her to say something. After a brief hesitation she starts "he came to our place an hour later u left, with a puppy. & by seeing it I understood phabo was helping him because she was the one who were listening to our convo when I asked u for the pup. Then I gave her a tight slap & showed her way out" Rk looks at her surprised with a hint of pride. "Then I asked Sikky to get out but he didn't hear to me...he said he loved me from college days, he was so mad about me" she makes disgusted face. "he asked me to come with him, he blabbered all sort of nonsenses & he even killed that poor puppy he brought...i...i got scared, every passing minute he was turning evil saying all evil thing he had done to us & to get me... at last he said that he even planned to kill u...hearing that I lost my control...i got so mad & I poured hot milk on his face followed by boiling water & started hitting him with that boiling pan & at end he couldn't take anymore beatings from me so he pushed me & I hit the kitchen counter & sank on the floor" she narrates the incident to him looking down at her knotted fingers.

"u hit him?" he asks in disbelief. "I don't know whether I should worship u or spank u for the stunt u had pulled up."

"What?" she frowns.

"Then what madhu? U could have tried to escape out & seek help from others instead of fighting him on ur own & raising his anger when he was already behaving like a madman & got hurt..." he sighs & suddenly his expressions changes from anger to worry "I can't imagine what could have happened to u if I didn't come on time..." he shudders at that thought. She hugs him to assure him that she is safe. "if anything wrong happened to u then I will never forgive myself, madhu. U r my responsibility. U r my life...i should keep u safe"

"Rishab, U didn't let anything go wrong...u saved us & we are safe now. So please don't worry" she says keeping one hand one his cheek & other on her tummy & he place his hand on top of her hand & a lone tear rolls down from his eyes. "Rishab, why are u crying" she brushes away his tear & cups his face in her hand. He hugs her & hid his face on her neck & whispers "Madhu, please bring our babies safe to this world."

"Rishab, i'm sorry for being reckless but it will never happen again. Nothing will happen to our baby...i'll bring our baby safe to this world & we will live happily together. I promise u" she assures him & he nods still hugging her. "Madhu, u should be in complete bed rest at least for the next two months"

"I will do anything as u say" she agrees

"I called my mom & ur mama"

"What? But why? Did u say anything about sikky to them?"

"No. I didn't tell anything about that psycho...they don't need to go through all this shit so I lied saying u slipped on bathroom & u need complete rest, on hearing that they themselves said they will come here to take care of u & I agreed too. U need someone to help u when i'm not around u."

"When are they coming?" she asks.

"Tomorrow" he replies. She nods.

"Now u sleep & forget about this shittier day & wake up fresh tomorrow." he pecks on her lips & she lays back on the bed.

"You too join me. Please don't leave me alone" she quickly grabs his hands & pleads him when he was about to leave her.

"I'll change & come" she nods.

"Wait" she stops him. "what is that red marks in ur collar? Is it blood? What happened to u?" she asks worriedly. He examines his collar & touches his side neck & finches in irritation as he remembers madhu holding him hard around his neck digging her nails in his skin when she was in so much pain.

"CUT UR NAILS, madhu" he growls at her & walks straight to the bathroom.

"Rishab, u didn't sleep yet" Madhu asks him seeing him sitting on the bed & caressing her head. She turns & reaches for the side lamp to switched it on.

"I couldn't sleep, madhu." he sayd dryly

"Rishab, its 3 in morning. U ought to sleep. U have work, right"

"I have taken two days off"

"But still..." he cuts her off saying "U sleep, madhu. I'll sleep in a while"

"U r shaken, right?"

"A deranged asshole enters into my house & hurt my wife verbally & physically & made her cry in pain...& she never cares for her personal safety...yes, i'm pretty shaken up with all these incidents"

"I'm sorry, Rishab...please don't be mad at me" she says gently grazing his cheek with her fingers & he kisses on her thumb finger. "No. u had enough for the day so i'm not going to show my anger on u" he says & she sighs & hugs him in relief.

"Sleep, baby" he says hugging her from back & snuggling her hair & she takes his hand which was around her & places it beneath her cheek.

"Doctor"

"Hmm..." he hums.

"I want to ask u something?"

"Anything, baby...ask anything." he says & kisses at the back of her ear.

"How did u came back home on time? U were supposed to be on airport right?"

"I was supposed to be" he replies sleepily.

"Then?" she asks. He slightly leans up resting his head on his palm with the balance of his elbow & he gazes at madhu. She turns & looks up at him expecting for his reply.

"after leaving from here I headed to my hospital to get some papers regarding the conference & that time, Miss. Kathi approached me...lab assistant" he adds seeing her confused frown & she nods getting who was that lady. "She gave me ur scan reports & I read ur chart then & there...ur were so excited to know the gender the previous day & u were so upset about me going away from u so I thought to make ur mood better by telling u the result for which u were pestering me for long. So I came back home to see..." he rubs his head trying to forget the scene he took in front.

"Glad u came back. I was praying & hoping to send u to my rescue & u came..." she chastely kisses him on his lips. "Even I'm glad"

"So tell me? I'm still waiting" she asks holding her breathe.

"U got to name the baby" he softly says near her ear.

"So its a baby boy" her face lit up in joy.

"Even I got to name the baby" he says with a smile.

"No way, doctor. Only I will name our son. We have already agreed on it...so no cheating huh!" she warns him.

"I know. But still..." before he could say anything she starts shouting "No! No! No! I wont let u name our son"

"Chup!! Chup" he puts his finger on her lips to stop her shouting.

"I won't..." she opens her mouth.

"Chup!! just listen to me" he orders. She nods.

"I'll name my baby girl" he says sternly.

"But just now u said its a boy? Are u lying to me? I was so happy but u shattered my dream of naming my son" she cries putting her palms on her face. He sighs.

"I'm not lying, biwi...u name our son & i'll name our daughter" he gently says removing her palm & wipes her tears away. "How?" She stares at him confused.

"Dumbo, we are having twins" he gently hits her head.

She continues to stare at him letting what he said sink in her head.

"Twins?" she asks in surprise & automatically her hand starts to caress her belly.

"Yes. A boy & A girl" he says looking into her eyes which were brimming in happy tears.

"I can't believe that we are having twins. Both of us can name our kids." she cups her mouth still amused.

"Your Super boy & my little angel is here" he gently pats her belly & smooches her belly sending tingles to her.

"Yippee!!" She squeals. Hearing her sudden excited squeals he looks up at her with a happy smile on his face knowing madhu is also equally ecstatic like him & he came top to her & holding her head between his hands he kisses on her forehead.

"Thanks you so much, Rishab" she says grinning.

"I love u, madhu" he whispers & she pulls him for a kiss.
