Sandeep Baswana replaces Pradeep Kharab as Moksh on Balaji's Kkavyanjali

He is the guy who originally played Sahil Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. That wasn't the only show Sandeep Baswana did for Balaji. Kya Hadsa Kya Haqeeqat, Koi Dil Mein Hai, Kuch Jhuki Palkein, and Kamal were some others serials that catapulted him to stardom. There was no doubt…Baswana was definitely one of Ekta Kapoor's favourite actors.
But the tide turned and Sandeep was soon out of the Balaji circuit. This Haryanvi actor was unceremoniously dropped from Koi Dil... and Kyunki... The man went into a long hibernation. Nobody knew about his whereabouts. He made statements in interviews about how he was fed up with the acting business and had given it all up. "Oh hell, I've never made any such statements!" the dude denies today. He says he left Balaji's shows due to poor health and to have surgery for his back problem. "I didn't quit with bad blood. Balaji gave me my first break. I've always been on good terms with Ekta and gang," he says. If that's the case, no wonder he is back in the reckoning. The hunk will now be seen in Kkavyanjali as Moksh. Earlier, actor Pradeep Kharab was essaying the role. How did this comeback happen? "I was on a long break, readying the script of a film I'm planning to direct. It's going to take another eight months for the film to start. I wanted to take up some work to keep me occupied. That's when Balaji called me and offered Kkavyanjali," he reveals. The actor says he has no idea about who he has replaced. "I wasn't keeping track of any television shows. Anyway, it doesn't matter because when I left my show some other actor was brought in my place. In the television world everything moves fast. There is no time to wait for anyone."
The diehard optimist is now looking forward to seeing himself on the small screen yet again. "It's not going to be a suited-booted look. Moksh is a young, flamboyant guy, so his look is stylish and trendy. I think that's a refreshing change."
KHARAB OUT OF K'JALI AND KASAUTI...
While Baswana is happy about his second innings with Balaji, actor Pradeep Kharab who he has replaced has done the unthinkable by quitting not one but two big shows. "I'm out of Kkavyanjali and Kasauti Zindagi Kay," Pradeep announces. He was originally playing Moksh Nanda, that is, Amrita Singh's son on the show. He was also popular as Shravan in Kasauti... What made him take such a drastic step? "I needed a break," he shrugs. "I'd officially resigned on August 14 but there was no reply to the letter from the authorities. I waited for a while before quitting completely." The actor says he has no idea about Sandeep Baswana replacing him in Kkavyanjali. "It makes no difference to me as I've been out of the show for sometime now."About his future plans, he says, "I've been down with fever.. I'll plan my future once I've recovered."
COPTER OVER SARRKKAR
Zee Telefilms' most popular daily soap, Sarrkkar, is to have yet another twist. Ronit Roy, aka Kunal Pratap Singh, is said to die in a helicopter crash in the coming episode of this political saga. "This is for the first time that a helicopter crash will be shown in a television series," says Manish Goswami, producer of Sarrkkar. The serial is based loosely on Indira Gandhi's relationship with her children. Incidentally, Indira's son Sanjay Gandhi also died in a plane crash. We just hope the show continues its stupendous spell at the small screen, and doesn't come crashing down like the copter in its special epsiode!
