Time went by where Aahil and Sanam was pretty much still together. They both managed to work on a few things, but made sure to hold on to each other.
One early morning, Sanam woke up as she felt the sunlight creep through the curtains in the room. She felt a bit cold as she didn't feel the usually warmth body next to her.
She reached a hand for the other half of the bed, but found it empty. Sanam yawned slightly and sat up in her bed and tied her hair in a bun.
Suddenly she let out a gasp as she wore a shocked expression on her face. Her right hand went up to her mouth as her eyes were wide open.
Her eyes were fixed on her hand particularly on one finger. Her heartbeat began to beat faster by each breathe she took.
What am I wearing? .. Can it be true?'
Sanam Ahmed Khan had woken up with a round cut diamond ring on her finger.
She looked up to meet her own gaze in the mirror of the room where she ran a hand through her hair. Clearly she was having a hard time on believing what she just saw.
Was she..
Was she really wearing.. dare she say an engagement ring?
Usually she would always know how to respond to things but right now words fell short.
She had always been prepared for whatever life threw at her way, but nothing made her move an inch. She felt like she was caught off guard.
Sanam took a deep breath, trying to calm down her nerves.
Meanwhile Aahil stood by the doorway with his arms crossed. A gentle smile began to spread across his face.
He couldn't take his eyes off from her.
She was looking breathtaking beautiful in the morning. Actually every morning she looked beautiful whenever had stayed with him.
He wanted to wake up next to her every day for the rest of his life.
Therefore he took the step he had been thinking about for a very long time now - and he did it in a unique way - After all he was different from others.
He was no ordinary person - he was the Nawab of Bhopal.
He woke up in the middle of night and raised his head gently to see the beauty lying beside him was fast asleep. He stood up from the bed and made it into the kitchen where he filled a glass of water for himself.
He tried his best to compose himself. He took a deep breath and went through one last time what he was about to do.
Part of him was nervous but excited as well. He was sure to take the next step with her, as he knew for sure that no else was ever going to reach him like she had done.
She had touched him in a way like no one else had ever done. And she had done so much for than seeing just another guy or treated him like royalty.
He left the glass on the kitchen counter and made it back into the bedroom. He climbed into the bed and turned to the night stand table where he opened the cupboard.
He then reached out for a black velvet box.
He opened it softly and smiled.
He gently took out the ring where he reached out for her hand and slipped it on. He leaned in and kissed her temple softly before lying down beside her.
Aahil came out back from the flashback while wearing a pleasant smile on his face.
He was looking for some kind of reaction or an approval from the beauty in front of her.
He began to feel nervous, as he had never taken such step with anyone else before. What would she say? Would she turn him down?
Now, it all depended on her.
Sanam was still very much shocked. She couldn't tear her eyes off from the diamond cut she wore.
"I wanted to surprise you." A voice spoke from the doorway.
She raised her eyes to meet his dark ones. "Well, you did." She whispered.
He stepped inside the bedroom and sat down on the bed. "You like it?" he asked referring to the ring.
"I.. I don't know."
He reached out for her hands and entwined their fingers. "Mujhse Nikah Karogi?"
He watched her as he knew she was busy with her thoughts. "What do you say? And for once don't rely on the newspapers."
She let out a nervous laugh and raised her eyes to meet his again.
"I know it must be weird for you, but this is how I feel. You're unique in own way and that's what attracts me. I want you, Sanam. I want to become your husband and make every dream you have come true."
She saw truth in them somewhere and she was convinced that if he really had been the man she first thought him out to be, then none of this would ever have reached this far ahead.
"I'm not lying when I ask you."
She reached out and touched his cheek where light stubble was growing. "I believe you."
"So it's a yes?" he grinned.
She bit her lip. "Oh, I don't know."
"Miss Khan, since when did you become a tease?"
"Since I met the arrogant less Aahil Raza Ibrahim."
He grinned as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
A soft laugh escaped her delicate lips.
"Why do I get the feeling that you are the only guy who can actually pull a stunt like this? What happened to the old fashioned way of proposing?" Sanam said referring to the surprise.
"Well, what can I say? I do have a daring personality." He was in his oh-so-typical way.
"That you have." She said staring into his eyes as she ran a finger across his jawline.
Sanam tore her gaze away from his and looked at her engagement ring and couldn't help but feel happy inside. This had always been something she had been dreaming of for years.
A dream every woman has when they grow up. And now finally she had experienced it. More importantly, she couldn't believe how beautiful the diamond ring was - and not to mention expensive.
She let it slide off from her finger for the first time and took a closer look when she suddenly noticed something.
There was engraving on the inside of the ring.
Her eyes travelled slowly over each word as she softly read.
Yours only - ARI
She felt her stomach turn slightly and shivers ran down her body as well. Not just did he buy an expensive ring and arrange the perfect proposal for her - but he had engraved it as well. For her.
She was touched by the words he had chosen to use.
Without realizing it, a tear ran down her cheek. She couldn't handle being so overwhelmed in just one day.
She shifted slightly in the bed.
Aahil noticed her moving and looked up at her. He was surprised to see her crying, so he quickly took a look at her.
"Hey, you are crying?" Aahil watched her with concerned eyes.
"No... I... I'm so overwhelmed by all this. More importantly I can't believe what you wrote in the ring." She finally looked up into his eyes.
"I usually never get emotional - ever!" She defended herself.
Aahil smiled heartily. "I know," he then reached out to wipe her tears away from her beautiful eyes.
He leaned in and brushed his lips across her forehead. He lingered a moment longer than usual. He smiled knowing well enough that she was the one.
She was going to become his Begum.
"I love you, Miss Khan. You mean the world to me and you're mine." He said caressing her cheek.
Sanam smiled heartily and loved hearing his husky voice close to her.
She looked into his eyes and replied ever so lovingly. "I'm yours, Mr. Ibrahim and I love you too."
"How?" he suddenly asked as he wore a small smirk.
Sanam bit her lip in a playful manner and gently pushed him down onto the bed. She climbed on top of him and stared at him. She leaned in closely and placed a few kisses along his strong jawline.
Aahil closed his eyes and enjoyed the close intimate moment

The day after, Sanam got home and decided to spend the day with her sister. They had already settled attending the respective meeting for the day and therefore had a lot of time to be together.
Seher came out from her room and into the living room where her eyes found her sister.
"Oh My God!" Seher's hands went up to her mouth. "What are you wearing?"
Sanam took a long look at herself and couldn't find anything wrong with what she was wearing. She wore white jeans with a light blue dress shirt.
"What's wrong with my clothes?"
Seher shook her head. "No, what are you wearing, Sanam? What are you wearing on your hand?"
Sanam tore her eyes away from Seher and onto her hand. Oh yeah. I forgot to tell her about it.'
She tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear. "Uh.."
"You're engaged! I cannot believe what I'm seeing right now. You're engaged to a Nawab. You're going to be the Begum of Bhopal. Oh God."
"Seher, calm down." Sanam tried to reach out for her.
"No can do. This is just so damn awesome."
"Seher you're dating his brother yourself, which means you're getting yourself into the same Nawab family as well."
Seher couldn't help but led out a heartfelt smile. "Yeah, but that's different. You're going to be Mrs. Aahil Raza Ibrahim. Oh God, the sheer excitement is too great!"
A light pinking color began to invade Sanam's cheeks.
"So tell me, when did the Nawab propose?"
"Yesterday actually. It was quite a sight to wake up to."
"What did he do? Go down on his knees?"
Sanam shook her head and a laugh escaped her lips.
"He took another route for that. He had already slipped the ring on my finger when I was asleep in the night - I of course had no idea. It was very much daring. So when I woke up the first thing I saw was wearing the ring."
Seher was pretty impressed. "Of couse the Nawab is going to go all in and invent new ideas."
She moved closer to take a look at the white gold diamond ring. "Damn! That's quite a diamond. It's beautiful."
Seher went forward and brought her into a loving hug. "I love you, Sista. I'm so happy for you. Anyway, I've got to call my Jeej, to congratulate him and more importantly, have a very long talk about something important."
Seher went to get the phone as Sanam watched her dial a number.
"Hello.. Mr. Aahil Raza Ibrahim I must say you're one of a kind. I for one cannot believe that you proposed to my one and only sister. Nevertheless I'm extremely happy for you both and..."
Sanam shook her head as a gentle smile began to spread across her rosy lips. Her dark brown eyes went back to the ring as she touched it gently.
Guess I fell for the charm after all.'

A few days later Aahil decided to show up at Sanam's place. They decided he could take her out for lunch that day.
He stood outside her front door and knocked on it.
A few minutes later, Sanam approached the door and opened it.
"Hey," she showed him a smile before leaning forward to hug him. "You're just on time."
Aahil smiled once stepping inside and into the hallway as they went further down the living room. He sat down on the couch as he took a small glance around.
"You want something to drink?" she went toward the kitchen.
"Sure, a glass of cold water would be fine." He replied.
Sanam smirked and went on to get two glasses of water and returned only to place it on the table.
Aahil took a small sip from the water and leaned forward to place it back on the table.
He was quiet for a small while before he smirked lightly, titling his head toward her.
"Where is she?"
The sudden question earned a surprised look on the woman.
"What do you mean?" Sanam asked eyebrows knitted together in pure confusion.
"Where is Sanam?"
"What are you talking about?" She said trying hard to keep up with the words.
"I'm right here. What is the matter with you, Aahil? Can you not recognize the woman you love?" She gasped.
She raised her hand. "Honestly, I feel so offended right now."
He sat back with a light grin on his face. "Oh, I can recognize the woman I've slept with... Seher."
"Ugh!" a sound of someone groaning could be heard from one of the rooms.
Seher took a look around before she exclaimed. "Damn you Ibrahims," she said once sitting down on the couch.
The door opened and the real Sanam came out while her eyes were fixed on her sister. "Hogaya? I told you it won't work."
Sanam stepped inside the living room and sat down next to Aahil.
"Hey, I just wanted to see if your Romeo here could see the difference - because Rehaan totally could." Seher explained.
"Yeah? Whose brother do you think he is?" He said proudly.
"You should never underestimate the Ibrahim especially not Aahil Raza Ibrahim."
Seher couldn't help but grin and looked at her sister.
"Seriously, I've got to ask this, Sista. Do you really scream his whole name during your intercourse at night, because I'm damn sure it'll give him pleasure beyond the skies?"
Sanam turned bright red from the words. "Oh God, Seher! Please not right now."
Aahil couldn't help but chuckle slightly upon the bold statement.
