Aamir Ali rubbishes his link-up with the actor as also the rumours of their teaming up in 'Nach Baliye 3'

That he has a tremendous female fan following is a fact that he shies away from. Rather, Aamir Ali, the handsome hero of 'Woh Rehnewali Mehlon Ki' (SaharaOne), akin to his character Soumya in the show, insists that he's a simple guy.

Apparently, Aamir and actor Sanjeeda AR has been invited to participate in the third season of the reality show 'Nach Baliye'. "Oh, I heard this news too. But that's not true. I can't dance to save my life. And one needs a partner to participate in the show, isn't it?" he asks.

What about pairing up with actor Sanjeeda, with whom he's linked-up? "No, no! She's a family friend. We haven't even gone out that much for such stories to circulate. We had a good laugh when we heard about it. Thank God, she's a friend, so there was no embarrassment," Aamir defends. He adds, "I am very much single but not ready to mingle. Such things cannot be planned. They just happen."

Now, it's his new apartment that has Aamir excited. "It's a very satisfying feeling to buy a house with your hard earned money. When I was young, my mom would look at all the beautiful houses and wish that we had one too. My house is special because it's fulfilling my mom's desire," he says.

Aamir who made it big on television had actually started his career with films ('Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai'). Though television gave him the much needed recognition, he hadn't given up on films. He will soon be seen in Hansal Mehta's 'Raakh' with Mithun Chakraborty and Sohail Khan. The young aspirant shares, "I have realised that happiness is more important than fame and money. I am content with what life has given me."

Reel life dulhan wants to marry wearing jeans

Barkha Bisht, who plays Anupama in the Sahara One show Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, is so bored of her monotonous reel life weddings that she wishes to get married wearing jeans. In the serial, she recently got married to Chaitnya (Amit Sareen). We chatted with this bubbly actress to know more.



Why are you so bored of playing a bride when it is an integral part of an actress's career?
"Frankly speaking, the reason I'm so bored playing the bride is that this is the fourth time in my career that I have repeated the act. I have played a Bengali bride, a bride from a village, in another serial Indraneil and I elope and got married in a temple without our parents' approval and now in Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, I have played a Punjabi bride. You can well imagine how boring it could get after doing the same sequence over and over. But the good thing about all these experiences is that I came to know about the customs and rituals of various marriages. So I've decided that whenever I marry for real, I would prefer a unique style. Maybe I will marry in jeans!"

What was the "bidai" experience in Doli like?
"To tell you the truth, while performing the bidai sequence I got very scared. I was sitting in the corner of the doli when they lifted it. But soon I realized that it was too shaky. Scared of falling, I screamed and my scream was so loud that the crew members were terrified and they rushed to my rescue. The imbalance of the doli scared me but I had to continue doing the scene and it was finally okayed in 15 takes.

The Barkha-Indraneil duo has got an offer for Nach Baliye's third season. Your comment?
"It's true that we got this offer but Indraneil and I are busy in our own work and won't be able to participate in the show as it will require more time and energy to manage our shoots. Right now, with all the assignments I have in hand, that will not be feasible."

Well, we think Barkha will remember her fourth reel life marriage because of her scary experience and her unique desire to get married in a pair of jeans. This funky actress started her career with Balaji's Kitni Mast Hain Zindagi and also acted in Pyaar Ke Do Naam Ek Radha Ek Shayam apart from doing a cameo in Kasauti Zindagi Kay. At times, she also anchors Popkorn Newz on Zoom TV.
