Hi, so since 3 weeks ago, I started watching Beintehaa and I am so enjoying it. 😆 But I did not quite understood these things. If someone could please make it clear, I'd be grateful. 😊

1. How can two first cousins get married? I mean, I get it that it's allowed but don't both come from the same families? Like Aliya's mom and Usman had the same parents?

2. What is the whole "Three Talaaq" thing? I did not understand anything about that! I skipped the whole divorce fiasco. Why three times and what it means?

Thank You.

To the first one in islam two first cousins (like brother & sister's children .. two sister's children .but not two brother's kids) can marry each other ..so it's quite common ...to the second one in this religion in a guy in order to divorce his wife should give her talaq three time with a gap of a month between each talaq so that they can think about it and nullify it if they want ..but if once they are done with the third talaq the couple can't re-marry until the women gets married to other men and gets divorced from him..hope my answer helped you ..!!

I agree with renu...2 brothers and 2 sisters children are not allowed...here zain being USMAN and Aliya being Ghulam so there is a difference in relation even if they are cousins...
Divorce is done 3 times coz of there are chances of coming back together b/w 2 of them then they can come back...there must be 3 months of waiting b/w each talaaq as far as I know and if the husband wants to take back his wife in the second or third month then he can do so by remarrying or willingly taking her back...but if things do not patch up still there is second talaaq and same process and finally the third one...and there is no turning back in the third...which leads to HALALA...

It may sound confusing because BI showed talaaq in a very fast pace but generally the rules of talaaq are quite strict in Islam and it takes time...so basically three talaaq process is done so that one can patch up after minor differences...as talaaq is forbidden in Islam only in extreme cases it is allowed...

Don't think I have done PHD in talaaq...😆...but the way it was shown we all had to go through every info required to save ZAYA..,,😆

Two brother and sister childrens can marry each other in islam...it is not allowed in some CASTs...it's not connected to islam...

And talaaq is done when u said it three times...there is no need to wait for 3 months...

But the best way of giving talaq is to give one talaaq each month...this is not neccessary...but the right way to give talaaq...

If u said it one time...u can get her back in three months by ruju.
if u said that 2 times u should do the nikkah and then get her back...ruju is not make her halaal.
and...
if u said it three times...now u can't marry her until she marry someone else...this is called halaala and preplaned halaala is haram...

I hope u get that...i search every where what they showed about each talaaq each month neccessary...i did not found that...

Answers are
1. In Islam u are allowed to marry your cousin it does not matter if he is your uncles or aunts kid its allowed.

2. Divorce is complicated in Islam but u have to say talaaq three times, sometimes its accepted in one go other times in three different times but once its fully done the couple cannot remarry unless the wife remarries another man and he willingly gives her a divorce or he dies. Divorce is considered the last resort and is not liked in Islam so a couple and especially the husband has to think carefully about ending his marriage. Of course there are many in Islam that abuse this and don't respect the rights they are given.
