What general knowledge is for me, might not be for you. Knowing some programming at least is general knowledge for me, does that mean people who don't know it are dumb? No. As long as she's good in her own stuff, she's good in life.

I would say that when we walk straight, we still look around/left /right...isn't??? This is awareness...we might not know maths, state capital...but PM and President who are responsible and caretakers of the country to which we belong...how can we not know them??? This is just ignorance.I am still unable to comprehend how KT escaped from the media hyped elections which took place in May...and Diandra no words for her...even we who are born not in India doesn't act the way she was..she just pretended as knowing the answers and hindi words was something down market...for me she was worse than KT.

They all r dumbos.. Sign of generation! Even the hero couldnt underatannd the ? And messed up the answer. To save hero's image.., salman spared him'Or they were all nervous because they didnt know what was hitting them and why! I bet you more rhan half the young people in India wouldt know who the president is.

Ok... what about the fact that she did not know what Salman's first movie was, she did not know Rajesh Khanna's movie with the dialogue and she also didn't remember Aamir Salman's name in Andaz Apna Apna. If you're going to make an excuse saying she is an actress and she shouldn't know about other subjects, well, she should at least have some knowledge about the field she is working in, right? And please don't say there are too many movies to keep a track of. If nothing else, at least, she should have known AAA since it is a pretty cult movie and one of the few ones with multiple khans in it.

You are getting it wrong

When one says 'she is an actress and she should be judged about her craft' it means that she should know technicalities of acting! She should know how to act, how to emote, how to powerful infront of screen, she should know how to react to different situations! Like I am an architect, so I should know how a building is made, what does it take to design a building, which material is best for building I am designing! Its not about general knowledge about Bollywood films or architecture personalities!

At same time I do agree one should have basic knowledge of country in which one is living and also BASIC BASIC fundamental rules of Maths.
