Some cute words/ phrases used in Urdu

Watching teh shows on Zindagi I have come across some words/ phrases that I used across all shows and I guess dat's how ppl talking colloquial Urdu talk.

Well Tuk possibly came from tukbandi, meaning rhyme,

well take a song

"Tumko dekha tu yeh Khayal Aya"
"Zindagi Dhoop tum Ghunaa Saya"

now Aya and Saya making some tuk... and practicing it called tukbandi. So a logical sequence or combination of something. Also known as Qafeyaa Milana

"Is ke Tuk nahee Banti" means doesn't fit.
"Yeh kounse naee tuk hay",

I have learnt sum beautiful yet difficult Urdu Words. Mutalba- Meaning Demand or Maang. Tawakko- Means Expectation. Maazrat- Meaning Apology Or Maafi. 😃

Tuk word is pronouced in many ways

1.Tuk ..pronounciation ..tookh ... sentence ''Kya tuk banti hai ?''

in this sentence the word Tuk is used in a way of logic or sense the translation will be '' whats the sense or logic ''

2.Tuk ..prnounciation ..Takh ... sentence '' Kahan tuk ? ''

in this sentence Tuk is used to prescribed time or place limit

the translation will be '' where to ''

OK in dis thread I'll ask meanings too. But I know I'll end up spelling dem wrong, coz of the way I wrongly pronounce them. I try to google translate some words, but guess coz of wrongly spelling dem I don't get it.😳

What's d meaning of nidaamat? Hv come across dis word a lot.

Also how is khuwaar prounced and wat's d meaning? Kashaf in one of her dairy entries uses dis word saying ab mujhe Khuwaar nahin hona padega.😕

Also in so many dramas, especially Umera Ahmed ones I hv come across dis phrase 'committee bithana' related to getting money I suppose? What exactly is this?

Its just that my dad has a very good knowledge of Urdu..😊 And @Khamoshh Comitee Dena or Baithana is more like our BC in India, In which a group of 7-8 women collect money and give it to that wiman who is a member of same group and requires money, I suppose. Like for Ex: In 10 women group, A woman needs 10,000 so the rest of them will contribute money, collect it and give it to the woman who needs it. But in return, the debtor will have to pay a minimum amount to them each month till the time the money is paid back. Hope You Got It! 😊
