Duryodhan had 100 brothers from his father..99 brothers and 1 step brother yuyutsu...dhritarashtra had 101 son and 1 daughter and yuyutsu became king of indraprastha after the mahabharat war...he was general in kaurava army but switched position on the 1st day of war...technically gautam was right in his answer...

So even though he is a progeny of Dhritarashtra...he is not counted as Kaurav.

There is a difference between the sons of D-man and the brothers...Duryodhan and party never considered him his brother. They were always refered to as 100 Kauravas...and even Duryodhana always said - hum SAU bhai...etc.

he was asked how many brothers duryodhana had, not how many kauravas were there...its nothing to bring gulati right...recently the same question was asked in KBC and the right answer was 100...

Thanks for that information. In Gautam's case, even if he miscalculated, the margin of error was negligible, compared to some of the other appaling figures! But I was most amused by Pritam n Praneet declaring Jharkhand has no capital. Lol I thought only the girls of this house were dumb
