It's unjust to jail someone for a crime committed almost two decades ago. Whatever happened to "speedy trial"? It's unjust for the victims and also for the one who commits the act. I would understand if the criminals were at flee or in hiding, but the Indian courts had all of the evidence at hand, and Salman was not in hiding.

This is why he signed a bunch of films a few months ago. Use them to avoid jail. The industry will rally behind him so their money doesn't go to waste.
