correction
Ruqaiah was longest serving padshah begum of Mughal empire more than 50 years
Jehangir did not take away her title after his dad death too
it may not be given in jehangirnama, akbarnama etc but there are letters written to her by ambassadors referring her as padshah begum in library and also her farmans issued as padshah begum. If you have access to online international museum's library the farmans are available. Majority of these farmans were stolen from Mughal library by british officers and sold later to museums. See the Mughal preferred sisters and daughters usually to be padshah begums as they could be trusted blindly to stay loyal to the emperor compared to non related wives. And ruqaiah was a timurid princess and cousin sister of Akbar and was the padshah begum and akbar trusted her blindly too.
There is a difference in NR of serial and real life ruqaiah.

Lot of Corrections here..

I am mentioning only 1. Don't want to indulge in historical discussions.

@Bold..
Nur Jahan became Padshah Begum 13 years before Death of Ruqayya, and 2 years after marriage. Before Nur Jahan it was Jagat Gosain who ruled the harem.

Also,
Zan-i-Kalan is no title , It is like nom-de-plume for ALL first wives of ALL Emperors.

I have not come across any such farman of Ruqayya, despite searching a lot in many libraries.
It will be very helpful if you can post anyone. Thanks. :)

@Pals..Thanks for sharing the link..

Edit:
The time duration is not 13 years but 3 before marriage. :)
And 12 not 2 after marriage.

Can you provide us a link to this online international library? Would love to read these farmans. I have just started reading up about this so I am no expert but According to the book " Edicts of the Mughal harem" the only 2 women in AKBAR'S time mentioned who could issue farmaans are Marium Makani and MUZ.
Thanks,

@my viewprem, the letters which u re telling were actually written to MUZ, who was queen of hndustan.MUZ is doing international trade that time. Why will they write letters to RB who have no powers. MUZ was compared with their queen also.

Thanks so much for clarifying this. Can you please give us more information about these letters or where we may be able to read them. I am very interested in MUZ and love to read more about this.
