All empress were padshah begums.

Like khanzada for babar, hajibegum for humayun, ruqaiah for akbar, nur jahan for Jehangir mumtaz for shah jahan, jahanara for shah jahan and Aurangzeb both, zinat un nissa for Aurangzeb and her brothers bahadur shah etc

Either sister or daughter or first wife was padshah begum I think it means chief empress

Zan e kala which was title of rukayya begum means first wife or chief wife

But padshah begum means first lady of sultanat...

It's not must padshah begum title served for only wife of emperor

Babar chief queen was maham begum M/o humayu but padshah begum was his sister khanzada begum

We saw HB talks abt his MIL n jalal dadi to jodha begum ... I always think this sasu must be rukayya real dadi

since when was nor jahan jehangirs first wife?and if someone calls ruku akbars most loved wife i will bang my head against a wall.
