I feel more drained and disturbed than angry after today's episode. Strange change. Anyways, lets move on to today's story 😃.
Her friends, Beauty and Luck, often chided her when it came to generosity. While Beauty minded less and focussed on beating her sister Grace, Luck had a particularly long nose to poke with. There had been legends written and rewritten on her rigidness and cruelty, with Luck's tales following right behind. None of them though affected Destiny as much as her latest muse's rejection did.
Ever since the birth of Earth and her siblings, the Planets, Destiny had witnessed quite a lot many fables and plays on Life's grand stage. There was always a Man for heroics and a woman for attraction in these plays and Destiny kept her strings tight when she had to manipulate them. There was no impromptu twist for her or surprises in her script. She liked to stick to her plan and end things the way she had initially decided to. There were a few puppets whom she felt a connection to and these fortunate ones always got her rare Happy Endings. That was exactly what she had planned for her current muse, a man named Abhishek Mehra. A steady growth in wealth, health and love with a content ending was something she had chalked out for him when she paired him with one of Luck's rejects, Pragya Arora. Smart girl, with a sincere respect for Destiny herself, Pragya was one of those creations even her brother Life couldn't go wrong with. Everything was going fine, with their union and her plans right in place. But did Abhishek accept her decision? Nope. This puppet wanted a Destiny of his own, something he could write with his reckless thoughts and pointless ego.
She tried every trick and twist she knew to stick to her script. She even went to the extent of bribing Death to stay away from Pragya's mother when Abhishek created a drama regarding his misconceptions. For the sake of the steadfast respect Pragya had in her, Destiny was ready to maybe bribe Luck as well. She truly would have, had he not insulted her today with his ridiculous idea. He wanted to rewrite her script and get Pragya married to another guy, whose story was also fixed. To achieve this, he went o the extent of making Pragya disrespect her as well, with empty threats and insults. One muse out of hand was perhaps tolerable but the loss of her most loyal one as well? It wasn't something she could excuse. Destiny would never let a man run her game his way.
Even as she saw the cogs turn and collide in Pragya's brain, she decided to do something she had done once, a long time ago with a man named Hitler. She decided to change Abhishek's story. One quick message to Fame, Luck and Fortune set the ball in motion. They might be her friends and colleagues, but even the three heavenly ladies didn't dare upset Destiny. All she had to do was wait for Pragya to step out of that house. That would be the moment her new script would come into play. Abhishek Mehra would learn not to mess with a woman the hard way. And Destiny liked teaching hard lessons, just the way Life did.
