I have a small anecdote to share here with all my VR friends:

Some time middle last year, I was out with a close friend and he told me he was vegetarian on that day as it was Karthigai. I confidently told him he was completely mistaken as how could it be Karthigai when even Deepavali had not yet arrived. And that's how I found out that Karthigai is a monthly event and not a yearly event as I had always believed. Typical VRYPMS blurness from me!
