We have new sets actors, directors and singers who have debut with in last 5 - 8 years and made a mark or established themselves in industry
BUT Music directors - we barely see any new bunch. Most are same old same old. We see Pritam, Vishal Shekhar, Sajid Wajid, Himesh Reshamiya, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, AR Rahman, Ram Sampat and Vishal Bhardwaj for most films music.

But few promising music directors have come along.

Amit Trivedi - Dev D, Udaan, Lootera, Ishaqzaade, Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, Queen, Aisha, Kai Po Che, No One Killed Jessica, Aamir and has major film like Bombay Velvet

Sachin Jigar, - Happy Ending, Finding Fanny, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, Shudh Desi Romance, Go Goa Gone, Shor in The City, Ramaiya Vastavaiya, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, ABCD, Badlapur and has ABCD2 coming up

Meet Bro's Anjjan - Kick (Hangover), Do Dooni Chaar, Ragini MMS 2, Bhoonath Returns, Paan Singh Tomar, Oh My God, Boss

Sneha Kanwalker - Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Khoobsurat, Gangs Of Wasseypur, Love Sex Aur Dhoka and Youngiistan.

Sohail Sen - Khelen Hum Jee Jaan Se, Ek Tha Tiger, Mere Brother Ki Dhulan, Gunday, What's Your Rashee?

Mithoon - Murder 2 (Phir Mohabat), Aashiqui 2 (Tum Hi Ho), Jism 2, Hate Story 2 (Aaj Phir), Ek Villain (Humdard, Banjara, Zarurat), Bas Ek Pal, Yaariyan (Baarish), Train and has Roy coming up. He hasn't done full album for all just few songs

Who do you think will make it big current big music directors? and who are versatile and your favs?

My fav is between - Amit Trivedi and Sachin Jigar
Amit Trivedi is a musical genius.

But Sachin Jigar are more versatile. Can make full on candy floss romantic songs to dark edgy, to masala numbers, peppy dance numbers to off beat country, rock, classical or typical Bollywood number.
They are somewhat underrated

Amit Trivedi and Sneha Kanwalkar- Love and respect them even more for still sticking to their style and not choosing mainstream music inspite of the fame and money they would've got if they were composing music for mainstream films.

I like Sachin-Jigar's peppy songs and Amit Trivedi beautifully captures the whole essence of a movie in his music. He is unique and the authenticity of his music just stands out.

I personally love Sneha Khanwalkar's style! There was this show named MTV Sound Trippin...she used to go around various parts of India and record sounds that one would hear in their everyday life and then make an amazing song at the end of the episode. She takes inspiration from things that most of us would ignore otherwise. Awesomeness!

Amit Trivedi and Mithoon Sharma.

Sachin Jigar have bouts of brilliance. Like Go Goa Gone or Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya.

Sharib Toshi were great with Raaz 2, but haven't done anything decent since.

I would love to heard Toshi sing again, what a voice! 😳

True that. With Mithoon songs, there is that Bollywood feel, beautiful melodies. Anyway thats what used to define Bollywood for foreign people (Non Indian). The new lot tries to copy the western music..
