Interesting, mature and insightful discussion conducted by Film Companion about Bollywood and the box office conundrum that plagues it.! Points presented are good and opens many dicussion of credibitly of BO numbers and barometers on basis of which actors nd films are compared!

TFS Vedu Bhaiya...it was a good discussion but a few of them come across as snobs ...judging people and movies left and right...Zoya sounded like a hypocrite when she was bashing the commercial movies and then said that for ZNMD to make money she realized that she needs all that the commercial cinema do...and then she included all that in ZNMD😆
But I am glad that they all were of the opinion that they need proper numbers...see I had opened a topic sometime back on how we need a statutory body for the numbers..

^^ Yeah, Zoya did sound like a snob initially, but overall it was quite a good discussion.

Yes- especially when you take into account that both are Hindi speaking states, and hence a large part of the Bollywood audience is from these areas.
So much contempt for the viewers. 🤢

I can't stand Zoua Akhtar or Her pretentious films.

Oh, have't watched either because both have Hrithik Roshan in them. 😵

Yep. She totally looks like a man and looks very unfortunate when she tries to act and dress girly. If she wasn't such a snob, I would actually feel bad for her. 😆

That was interesting. Arjun made some good points as did the UTV lady...Zoya not so much.

20 years back....in 2006....with Gangster. So, any thoughts on her initially promising journey which turned to dust?
