Ranveer Singh who plays his first historical character in Bajirao Mastani is going all-out to ensure absolute authenticity. According to reports from the sets it's not Priyanka Chopra but Ranveer who gets the brunt of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's intense script."It is Ranveer who comes close to fainting on the sets. He is the one with lengthy fiery dialogues which have to be delivered in a specific Marathi accent.
Ranveer has mastered that dialect and accent and he uses them on the sets even when he isn't facing the camera," say a source from the film's unit. The director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is so impressed by Ranveer's dedication that he has decided to incorporate a few of the actor's suggestion
Apparently Ranveer insists on getting his head tonsured every single morning, although this is not required."Shaving the head twice or thrice a week would do. But Ranveer insists on a daily tonsuring.
He wants his Bajirao to be as real as it can get," says a source.Lenses for the eyes are mandatory."Ranveer's eyes smart under the lenses. But he insists on wearing them throughout the day while shooting."
