Saif joins Karan's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil cast?

The film which will be directed by Karan Johar is titled Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and it also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai

Saif Ali Khan's films may not have had a dream run at the box office lately but that hasn't diluted his stardom or his ability to connect with the masses. And the one to realise that is Karan Johar, who has offered the actor his next directorial venture, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The film also toplines Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai and Anushka Sharma.

A source said, "The film was offered to Saif a few months back. Karan met him and narrated the story. Saif, at that time, was also going through other scripts and was evaluating his options. Karan's love story caught his attention and after a while he got back to Karan saying he has liked it."

Karan first worked with Saif in his own directorial superhit Kal Ho Na Ho and later in Kurbaan, which he produced. This film is about relationships going sour and how eventually love makes an individual a complete person. The source added, "Karan and Saif will meet again soon to discuss the other logistics and the shooting schedules. Karan is aware that Saif is apt for the role and if all goes well, the shooting should begin mid 2015."
