Gaurav Hans to enter Balika Vadhu

Dr. Gaurav Hans is an urology surgeon working in Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. His passion for acting has driven him closer to achieving his goals as an actor. And today, he finds happiness in portraying challenging characters in both the TV as well as film world.
The doctor turned actor has recently shot for the movie Crazy Lamhe which has TV actor Aniruddh Dave playing the lead role. Dr. Hans will be playing Dave's brother in the movie.
And now, Dr. Hans will be seen portraying a very important cameo in Colors' long running show, Balika Vadhu (Sphere Origins). He will play the role of Giridhar, a guy who would have enjoyed his bachelor life in the company of prostitutes, but would have reformed himself after getting married and becoming a father.
He will bump into the character of Sona (Geetanjali Mishra), who would be working as a caretaker in a school, a job that Jagya (Shashank Vyas) would have provided her. In the parent-teachers meeting that would happen in school, Sona will cover her face with her saree so that no parents can see her. However, Giridhar (Dr. Gaurav Hans) will happen to see her face, and the man will be shocked to realize that this is the same woman with whom he has earlier shared a bed as prostitute. He will immediately make a hue and cry about it, and will reveal to all in school about Sona being a prostitute.
We hear that this character of Giridhar will not end here, and will be seen in the future plot as well.
When contacted, Dr. Gaurav Hans told , "Yes, I am a doctor by profession but acting has always remained my passion. I now want to pursue acting and await challenging roles. The role in Balika Vadhu is an interesting one, and viewers will like it. I have done few commercial ads, and have recently shot for an episodic of Adaalat too."

This will be an interesting plot. It will be nice to see how the society will accept a prostitute as a normal woman who wants to live a respectful life.

Prostitutes face a bigger stigma than even widows in our society. If a man like Girdhar who 'enjoyed' life can get a chance to reform and lead a respectable life than why not a woman like Sona - who would have mostly been a prostitute out of force rather than choice.

This will be a good plot to see how J - the adhyapak and Dsa, the most powerful lady of jaitser help in reforming a prostitute's life.

During Pramila's track, this issue got sidelined - not sure what the reasons were though😕

Looking forward to see how this track is handled..and if they are going to handle rehabilitation, writers better address the issue in its entirety...some of the well meaning tracks like the street children rescued by A or Suhasini were handled in episodic fashion with no continuity 😕

If BV really wants messages passed on through such tracks - they need to reiterate the messages..

Agree with Esha that if a man who enjoyed life with prostitutes can get a chance to lead a respectful life then why not the prostitute with whom he shared his bed. In my opinion they deserve a chance more as most of times women are forced into prostitution either by unscrupulous men or by pitiable condition of their families while men like Giridhar indulge in "enjoying " life by their own choice.

This is a sensitive issue and wish CVs will not tackle this in hurry.

Seems like a very good track Very real and potential and must say BV cvs are very clever We viewers were shouting for so long Jagya Ganga being given nothing Their screen space cut short for some very stupid tracks of DS popping gems in school and Gehna Niranjan Nandu drama Fed up of this Sargun Mehta too left Now that they know viewers are angry at this so immediately came up with a potential track for Jagya and i am sure Ganga will have a good role to play in this too

Hoping this track is not turned into Dadisaa's forced mahanta but handled well
