I also can't understand why Gautum is not siding with Ali when he has gone through the same. I think Gautum's being too focused on making unworthy friends and trying to be popular in the house. Unfortunately, that means lack of popularity outside.

Everybody including Gautam is scared of Puneet, he will not say anything without Puneet's permission. Everybody got scared of Puneet's physical strength and him being still in house after two serious physical damage. They are there to play game not to get killed or become handicap. Anyway. Gautma is a gone case now. He is not worth of anything, biggest tharki, phuski, mental contestant right now. If he gets nominated now, he will get eliminated too.

Slapping someone is definitely more worse than calling someone a s**t, it's not a very nice thing to say to someone, but hey, is your respect so fragile than one bad word breaks it?

And it's not like only Ali has labelled her as such, even the other female houemates have insinuated that she's behaving like a s**t, it's just that Ali has stated it bluntly, I'm not defending what Ali said, but he isn't solely to blame for "disrespecting a woman" - a notion that I don't entirely agree with, it all depends on the context, circumstance, situation, who's the offender and who's the victim etc. So when we talk about gender equality, the first thing that should happen is that women should stop disrespecting other women, since it's being whipped up into such a big issue, it shouldn't be a one-sided thing.

Personally, I have a NFS policy (no first strike), so if you attack me first, then I'm gonna rip you a new one, irrespective of whether you're a male or female. 😆

I like this, Ali was too much gentleman here, main to ulte haath 2 deta. Result baad mein dekhne ka. This is world of equality, no gender biasedness, get what you give.

I realize that in India (and many parts of Asia), domestic violence does exist in some places. However, even you have to admit that it usually occurs in the lower class societies. In the middle class and above areas, you rarely see such actions.

I dont agree with you on this point, lower class people do not have walls to hide it, their violence happens on street, while in upper class society, It happens behind closed door. If you look at data, you will find it. I think in Satyamev Jayate show, Amir gave data too.

Not taking stand may be Ali's weakness, but it seems to be his nature too. He never wanted to hurt anybody in anyway. He did not ask Sonali's elimination for a single time, other would have not missed this opportunity, specially Sonali is very strong contestant. He did not even shown his pleasure that Sonali got punishment from BB. Whatever he does, that is for his game only, not personal. He supported Karishma for captaincy and made Dimpy his enemy, because he was loyal to Karishma and her BF. He lied to Dimpy just because he did not want Dimpy to get angry with him. specially knowing that Dimpy supported him. It is difficult to change one's nature but he should know how other are playing game against him.

That may be true but he shouldn't keep on apologizing to random people for no reason. He doesn't have to be loyal to Karishma, especially since she betrayed him twice (once when he was clarifying out an issue with Dimpy and then during the incident that occurred two days back).

I also agree that he is perfectly justified when he lied about his girlfriend's thoughts on Dimpy. Why would he say that his girlfriend dislikes Dimpy and ruin their already weak friendship?

I don't see why everyone would be so afraid of a 55 year old man. Bigg Boss is watching every occurrence in the house and if any unfortunate incident was occurred, Bigg Boss would immediately send some security staff to assist the victim. I'm sure that Bigg Boss would not let any serious harm happen to any contestant.

I still believe that Gautum will redeem himself; maybe it is because I really liked him during the first 6 weeks. Hopefully Salman's subtle hints will get across to him. The snap deal caller should have sent him a screw driver instead, and maybe he would have understood.

I don't think this would be a good idea, because unfortunately this is not a world of equality. Women are given much more special treatment, and if Ali had even dared to raise his hand in retaliation, he would get so much nonsense as a repercussion.

What I mean by lower class isn't people earning around the poverty threshold, but those who earn somewhat above it but below average. Of course, lots of domestic violence occurs in small villages, but there is very little that can be done there. However, to the occasional domestic violence occurring in actual houses (i.e. houses of lower class families), I'm sure the victims have some opportunity to take action against it.
