I just read the update. BEar with me today... i feel like talking 😆
the theme of my rant today is 'mask' ... this show is wearing a mask of maturity, moderism, feminism and realism. The things some characters say seem right, but totally opposite to the actions they take. That is the most dangerous kind of fiction. I just hope no one takes this seriously
- A woman is lying on a hospital bed because she tried to kill herself. NOT because she was molested, but because of the shame she is bringing down on her family
- The molestor is obviously so interested in the victim, and wants to win her over at any cost (irrespective of the reason), but when the time comes, he doesn't even undress her?
- Ishita said something about Mihika being a 'modern' woman or aaj ki naari and all? seriously? What is the point of all that now ? a victim will be resurrected to be a sherni AFTER she has foolishly acted for a month?
- No one is worried about if Mihika was raped and if that could cause her to get pregnant or contract any disease or if it could have caused any serious mental or bodily damage. In a hospital full of medical professionals, the question doesnt seem to be about Mihika's health (physical or mental) but if she is a virgin or not?
- Its imperative for Adi to be in that hospital? If I were a kid his age, I would actually be asking a LOT of uncomfortable questions. I know they are trying to ease into the Adi reformation track, but seriously, is this the right time (in the hospital) to preach to him that Ashok is not the right parental figure for him ?
- It's really sad that I actually think Shagun's point of view doesn't seem too crazy at all. It DOES seem like a plot to make sure she doesn't remain happy
- and no one, I repeat no one, thinks that law enforcement should be involved at all ???
I saw a comment somewhere about someone saying it feels like 60s or 70s waala show. None of it seems to be any close to the world we live in.
Let this be a daily soap and be melodramatic for all I care, but please don't advertise this as something that is deeper and something that is supposed to send a message.
PS: this was frustration bottled up for some time... i wont write so much every day (Thank the Lord for that 😆)
