Hello everyone ... How are you? I have missed the forum a lot ... And of course, have been hovering around silently as I have been very busy at work. But, finally have a break for Thanksgiving and thought of dropping by. How have you all been? 🤗
I have not been able to watch regularly- but I know the gist of what is happening. Let's see how this track will unravel ... but I know everyone is hoping for the best for Ruq's bhandaphod. But one this is clear, we know Salima Begum and Maan Singh will come out unscathed. Looks like after Todarmal, the CVs couldn't leave another Navratan unscathed.
In any case, November is the month of Thanksgiving ... So, a note of thanks for this show which gave us amazing leads, some amazing scenes, but most of all gave me an amazing set of friends I will always take along with me. I truly have had a lot of fun thanks to this show and this forum and so thought I would do a special post to celebrate some special moments. 😳
The theme is November ... November 2013. We got some well-executed scenes during this month and I wasn't active on the forum at that time, so here is my chance to share my favorite moments from November 2013.
(1) The fake pregnancy track. When early rumors of the pregnancy track were leaked, the forum was shocked beyond control. But actually the track was much better than expected and remains one of my most favorite tracks till date. My favorite moments from this track:
- Jalal's instinctive trust in Jodha: After his initial anger cool, he instinctively knew that Jodha could not be guilty of adultery ... He consulted Salima Begum who wisely advised that truth can be stranger than fiction. Together, they went to the Hakima Sahiba who immediately thought of the ark and the antidote, that started our journey with colorful vomits.😆 Hats off to both Jalal and Salima for showing trust in Jodha.
- How Jalal stood up for Jodha, even before the vomit test was complete: Even before Jodha was proven innocent, Jalal took the blame for the confusion in front of Hamida Bano and took even a slap from her.
- The nok jhok of Jalal as he walked with Jodha for the jashn. As Jodha was annoyed as ever and threatening to leave to Amer, Jalal lightened the mood by talking about how he would name the baby Salim, if it were a son. (And how much more beautiful was it that we knew that would come true) ... And he further added some spiciness to the proceedings by claiming everything was done with her consent. Jodha was left speechless and so were we.😉😆
- After the truth unraveled, the most poignant moment of this track was Jalal's speech to the awaam to clear Jodha's name. While warned by Maham Anga, that it would be embarrassing for him, Jalal cleared Jodha's name in front of the awaam. And everyone, especially Jodha, felt his pain with him, as he spoke of his childlessness. But the most poignant moment, when he told his awaam, that he would never be childless as soon as long as he had his awaam. A sign of a great leader 👏
After that mini-take 5 diversion, back to the main take 5.
(2) Jodha the support: If Jalal was her support during the fake pregnancy track, Jodha was his support in the aftermath. Only Jodha recognized Jalal's pain in punishing Bakshi Bano. She went to speak with him ... I still get goosebumps with that scene, where Jalal is close to tears thinking of Bakshi Bano. Jodha comes from the back ... He tries to cut her off saying he does not want to talk. Jodha does the best thing she could do ... She shows her support, by holding his shoulder in support. I love Jodha's natural moment of hesitance before doing so. What an electrifying connection and Jalal felt it too ... And notice how he feels like he has lost something the moment she lets go. An amazing moment this was.
(3) Rahim the cupid had two special scenes in this month of November, so here goes to this cute boy who now sword fights with his Abbu Jaan.
- A pleasant kite scene with Rahim struggling to fly his kite ... At first, Jalal comes to teach him as Jodha watches admiringly as she feeds the birds. And our old Moti notices this admiration instantly. Jodha praises that he can manage the kingdom just as well as the dor of a kite. Later, Rahim is about to drop the kite again and Jodha runs to save it as Jalal looks on.
And in the middle, Jodha-Jalal have a nok jhok as Jodha comes to Jalal and Jalal teases her for looking for excuses to talk to him as Jodha asserts her rights to talk to him as his Begum. Of course, she wants to talk about Bakshi Bano ...but for now Jalal is not ready.
But Jalal's attention continues only on Jodha as she rescues Rahim's scene, symbolic of how Jodha would always step in when they needed her.
- And the second scene was the classic tulsi-ka-ped and neem-ka-ped confusion that ensures Jalal has a meaningful time with Jodha during his birthday, which brings me to my next take
(4) A beautiful birthday ... Where Jodha-Jalal beginning to bond as new friends ... What started at the tulsi plant was the start of a beautiful journey where they embarked on knowing their awaam and it was a new phase of casualness for them. Jalal was having fun throughout the day, first with Ruquaiyya's treasure hunt and then amused by Jodha's antics. Remember the number of times he said "I can never understand women" , a common theme throughout this show. And this marked, Jodha's rise in the court as she was not only recognized a having the best gift, but was also seated next to Jalal on his throne on this momentous occasion. This was a sign of her rise in influence.
And in case, the nostalgia was making you a bit nostalgic ...there is a moment that I am very thankful for in the month of November and that is ...
(5) The scene of our very own Maamujaan with Mehtaab: I know we all collectively groaned when we heard there would be another Meena Bazaar - but what a beautiful scene we received in that Meena Bazaar between Jalal and Mehtaab. It was a special, meaningful moment, where Jalal recognized how special Mehtaab was , which required a special heart to see. I have written everything I experienced with that scene in this take:
https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/jodha-akbar/4214742/a-take-5-for-maamujaan So, the CVs still have a chance of brilliance ... We just need to be patient and have short-term amnesia in between 😆
So, a big thank you for this show, this forum, and for all my wonderful friends here. Till will have Rajat - Paridhi and the folks on this forum, I am sure we will always find diamonds in the rough.
