Yeh Hai Mohabbatein One Year Special- Top 25 Raman-Ruhi Moments!!!
One of the most popular and most loved shows on television Yeh Hai Mohabbatein produced by Balaji Telefilms is completing one year...or rather one GLORIOUS year on 3rd December 2014.
Based on Manju Kapur's CUSTODY', Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is as unique as it can get. A strong author backed script, brilliant storytelling, a casting coup one has never come across on TV in a long-long time the show has everything that screams Entertainment! Entertainment! Entertainment!
They say that For a father his daughter is always a princess' and little Ruhi sure is her Papa's princess. When the show went on air Raman and Ruhi's relationship was shown to be a strained one because Ruhi's mole reminded her Raman of Shagun and her betrayal, but that was nothing more than an act. Though it was Ishita who bridged the gap between Raman and Ruhi, one cannot deny the truth that deep with Raman always loved Ruhi more than anybody in the world and she was his princess.
In our Yeh Hai Mohabbatein One Year Special today we bring you the top 25 Raman-Ruhi moments in the show over the past one year. It's no easy feat because each and every moment is amazing but inspite of it here are the top 25 moments between the Papa and his pari that stood out.
1) Ruhi-Raman's first meet at Puja
Without even realizing it, your eyes glisten with tears when watching this scene. All Ruhi wanted was to meet her father and be with him and the moment she comes to know that her father has arrived the young girl rushes to meet him. She walks expectantly towards her father and holds him to grab his attention. Raman looks at Ruhi and his face radiates with happiness to see his princess before him but soon he reminded of the woman who betrayed him and she walks away from Ruhi, while the latter runs behind him.
2) Raman panics seeing Ruhi cry due to tooth ache
No matter how much Raman tried to walk away from Ruhi, the strong bond that was formed between then when Ruhi was just a 6 month old baby and Raman had to take care of her all by himself because her mother left them, made it impossible for him to ignore his own child. Seeing his daughter cry in pain, Raman panics and rushes out with her to see a dentist.
3) Raman wants to be there for Ruhi but...
Not being able to sleep the whole night due to tooth ache, Ruhi slept peacefully the next morning and Raman could not help but sit by her side and caress her lovingly. There was nothing he wanted more than to be with Ruhi but fate had planned something else for the father-daughter duo to truly unite.
4) Papa and Ru's Lice experience'
One of the best Raman-Ruhi moments in the show what makes this truly unique is that usually it's the mother who takes care of such problems but here Ruhi's papa was the one who took care of her lice problem. Yes, Raman did get help but right from figuring out why Ruhi was scratching her head to Kitne jue hai tumhare baalon mein' to solving the problem once and for all, Raman was every bit the parent Ruhi yearned for.
5) Raman tears Ruhi away from him.
Raman always distanced himself from Ruhi but this scene when he had to tear Ruhi away from him was truly a heart-wrenching moment. Ruhi wanted to be with her papa but it was not going to be easy but Raman promises to bring her back home in 12 days and being someone who kept his promises viewers knew there was no way Raman was letting go off his princess.
6) Raman realizes that Ruhi means the world to him.
Apni bachi ke liye aasoon baha raha hai...aaj tujhe baap hone ka ehsaas hua hai" these were Mr. Bhalla's lines to Raman when he yearned for Ruhi; when he truly realized that he can't live without her. Ruhi calls Raman to prove to her friends that the uncle' at the party was not her father. Ruhi keeps it short and simple knowing her Papa and gets straight to the point. She tells her papa to talk to her friends so that they know the truth. In that moment Raman realized how much his daughter loved him and how even at her tender age she stood affirm on the truth that Raman was her father even if her mom and the uncle tried to manipulate her every way they knew.
7) Ruhi makes a ring for Raman.
Even when not with Raman, Ruhi's world revolved around her Papa. She makes a ring for Raman in her art and craft class and gifts him the same before getting dragged away by her mom.
8) Raman-Ruhi's big secret.
Ruhi goes to meet the uncle who was going to marry her Ishita aunty and request him to not marry her aunty; little did she know that it was her father who was going to marry Ishita. Raman tells Ruhi that Ishita will always be in her life and this time as her mother. Raman asks his princess to not share this news with Shagun mumma and the uncle and also have a cute conversation where Ruhi claims herself to be a lady and soon after rushes off to see which ring Raman gave Ishita.
9) Ruhi thanks Raman for not being angry with her.
Raman believed that Ruhi was not his daughter all thanks to Ashok but after the kid meet with a mishap there was no way Raman could ignore her. When Ruhi who believed that her father was angry with her apologizes to Raman for not being angry anymore, Raman feels guilty because he knew that she never deserved the treatment that was being meted out to her.
10) Raman's doubt clears about Ruhi's paternity.
Another Epic moment in YHM where Raman comes to know that Ruhi is truly his daughter and rushes to her side. He holds Ruhi who was have a gala time dancing after her papa won the carom game and hugs her Dil Se..." for the first time. Their relationship, their love and the bond no matter how strong or weak it was had stood against the test of time. Ruhi and her papa won.
11) Papa aapki daadi chubti hai'.
Ruhi no longer reminded Raman of the past instead the unconditional love of the young kid for him had changed him. In this scene Raman kisses his daughter probably for the first time while the latter complaints that his beard is pricking her. The next day Raman shaves his beard for his daughter something he wouldn't have done earlier hadn't it been for Ishita. After a lot of struggle with himself and the world Raman had whole-heartedly accepted Ruhi as his daughter, Ishita had made sure of it.
12) You are the world's best Papa.
The daughter who Raman had kept away from him was the one who made him realize that he was the best papa in the whole world. When Raman's first born, his son Aditya chose to ignore his father, Ruhi made sure that her father knew her was cherished and loved. She feeds Raman the cake and also whispers the wish she made which was exactly the same thing even Raman longed for. Well like they say Daughters will be daughters all their life'.
13) Raman celebrates Holi with Ruhi after years.Shagun's betrayal had changed Raman completely. He had stopped celebrating Holi and hadn't celebrated the festival of colors for the past 6 years but how could he refuse his darling daughter. When Ruhi asks Raman to give her permission to apply color on him, Raman immediately agrees thus breaking the norm he had been following for the past 6 years.
14) Papa and Ruhi's special promise gesture.
Raman had become a papa 6 years back but he was truly living his role as a father only now. In this scene Raman teaches Ruhi a special way of making a promise to each other.
15) Raman apologizes to Ruhi for disappointing her.Imagine falling in the eyes of your own child. That is what happened when Raman made Ishita apologize to Aditya for no fault of hers. It was all witnessed by Ruhi who felt bad and even her little heart knew that wrong was being done to her Ishima. Raman who realizes that he had disappointed Ruhi, apologizes to the latter while she was asleep and also promises to be make it up to her and live up to her expectations.
16) Like father, like daughter.
Ruhi was and is a carbon-copy of her papa; so if Raman was stubborn it's only natural that Ruhi would be equally stubborn. After the incident that took place at the Chinese Restaurant' Ruhi resolved to not forgive her papa easily while the latter tries every trick in the book to win the heart, trust and friendship of her baby girl.
17) Ruhi's speech about her Papa.
Ishita may have prepared Ruhi's elocution speech but the love, adoration and pride with which Ruhi delivered it and the way it touched Raman's heart is what makes this scene really special. In her little heart Raman was always a hero and tears glisten in Raman's eyes when he hears Ruhi deliver the same through her speech.
18) Raman leaves for Mumbai.
In Ruhi's words Ruhi aur Papa itne muskil se friends bane the' and this time it was pucci wali dosti so it was difficult for both Papa and Ruhi to stay apart even if it was for 2 days. Previously shayad it wouldn't have been that hard for Raman but now it was.
19) Raman puts Ruhi to sleep.
A truly priceless moment between Raman and Ruhi it does not get any cuter than this. Raman takes up the responsibility to put Ruhi to sleep and it was not as easy as he thought it would be. Ruhi's new found habit made it difficult for Raman to put his daughter to sleep but Ruhi herself suggests various ways to help her father out of which reading a story works perfectly.
20) Ruhi promises to be responsible like Raman.
Raman scolds Ruhi for no rhyme or reason but the little girl felt that she had done something wrong which had angered her papa. Not wanting Raman to be his old-self Ruhi apologizes to Raman and promises to not to talk like a dadi' and be responsible like him. Raman who knew that Ruhi was never wrong in the first place hugs his daughter not knowing how else to make it up to her.
21) Raman readies Ruhi for school.
nother epic and equally unique moment was when Raman who never readied Ruhi for school decides to do the same. Well there is always a first time for everything and at the end it's the effort that counts and jo kuch bhi dil se kiya jaata hai, uski toh baat hi alag hai.
22) Ruhi serves dinner for Raman.
Everybody was angry with Raman because for the first time he was siding with the wrong person. Raman did not expect to be boycotted to this extent but he also did not expect his daughter to stay awake just so that her papa could have fresh garma-garam food. Not only does Ruhi heat the food for Raman, she gives him company the whole while, taps on his head and make him drink water when he chokes and also feeds him the last morsels.
23) I love you sooo much...Papa.
Though Ruhi was maska-maaring her papa so that he would buy her a new video-game this beautiful moment between Ruhi and Raman is truly one to cherish
24) Ruhi's favorite person in the world is Raman.
Undoubtedly the Girl Child' drama was one of the best sequences in YHM. Ruhi's fear, her tears on coming to know Raman never wanted her which was a misconception...which was only half the truth she decides to follow Ishima's advice and take Raman's test. Raman answers every question correctly but when little Ruhi asks who her favorite person was Raman answers it incorrectly. He still did not know that his daughter's favorite person in the whole wide world was her father. It was a shocker for Raman who never expected to be Ruhi's favorite person after all that had happened between them. But that is the beauty of their relationship isn't it?
25) Raman Ruhi -Partners in crime.
This cute scene showcased that Raman and Ruhi were truly partners in crime. Raman wanted to kiss Ishita and he asks Ruhi to help him in the matter. Well how can papa ki pari deny? After a lot of convincing and cute talks between the papa-beti duo Ruhi helps her father in his mission.
