For some time i was doing the introspection about being fan or admirer . Then came to conclusion that i am admirer of Fawad Khan,s acting skills where he challenges himself to bring out the best whatever venture he has done . He never reminds you of the previous character he has played . He just becomes the character . ZGH was the first one where i did not know his name but then character start growing on you and you find that you have met Zaroon of Uni. somewhere ,not a fictional character . And then through this forum came to know about his work and went all the way to watch all his works . And Zindgi same time came out with Behadd where you can not ignore Jo ,who was mature and different from Zaroon . Whatever character he plays , does it with conviction and connects with viewers . mine next was Numm as i had read about it in some blog and was recommended in the forum . It was intense and kind of having mysterious aura surrounding Walli and Mahzabeen and liked the unspoken chemistry between Wali and Mahzabeen where eyes were the mirror of inside going turmoil . FK as brooding looking looks gazing at Mahzabeen , standing in the corner . Their relationship were left to viewers imagination. And again became FK,s admirer . Then Dastaan which was heart wrenching , poignant story where one can feel the pain of both sides and FK again was brilliant and i just loved him in the later part when he met Bano and her asking him where was he ? His expressions like he wanted to erase all the past memories from Bano,s mind . Again gave brilliant performance . List can go on . Humsafar was the last one as had mixed reactions . So went for it . FK as Asher was there from the starting and there were few expressions of his which just could not shake off . His looking at Khirad in the restaurant with his hand on mouth, amused at her nervousness and then smirking smile . But for me it was post separation which was brilliant for me . Asher at the sea shore , coming back and talk with mother and that time one emotion taking over the other and at last as a broken person .
Watching other dramas also and no doubt Pak dramas have brilliant actors not going over the top .
But somewhere i find FK standing in the crowd with his range of work and his acting skills . He inspired me to weave his ZGH and Humsafar in Old numbers which was challenging as these shows just ended within 26 episodes .
I liked when he talked about romance , not necessary to have physically intimate ,it can be shown through your expressions and here i will not hesitate saying ,he is king of romance but found it quite amusing when i read his quote in TOI ,s editorial page some time back when i did not know him , talking about Shahrukh and how he romances his heroines.
I am no fan as this word has lost its meaning in social sites and where fans wants to become the patrons of actors . So just admire , appreciate FK as an actor as an human being who deserves all the appreciations , accolades and recognition coming his way .

U have written it well...and this is exactly my thots as well...Apart from this, I also watched Khuda ke liye...and keeping in view that this was his initial work ...its very well done...he has played Sarmad sooo well!!
the best part of Fawad is that the character remains intact and the actor persona ..never overshadows the character...he becomes the character!
Also, he adds very subtle nuances to his characters...voice modulation...using his hands or very small expressions, whcih convey the feelings of the character very welll...
U will usually notice these nuances he adds as an actor..when u r watching any drama/movie the 2nd time and so on...
All in all..I m glad Fawad decided to explore his chances and venture into BW and thanks to this move,, we indian fans will also get to see more of his talent 😊

Aww i could relate to your each and every word Neerjaa! My story is similar to yours. I got to know about FK only post watching ZGH. And then on started youtube-ing his other shows. And like you mentioned, he has a admirer in me too.
He has a limited body of work but EACH one stands out because of FK's portrayal. He puts in all his heart and soul to the character that it shows on screen too. That is why i believe we can relate to his characters, be it zaroon , hassan or Asher. He makes the characters look so convincing. His expressions are bang on and his voice modulation is terrific. He acts like a dream. Also, he's a gem of a person offscreen. So humble and so dignified. All this makes me adore and admire him. He's a rare gem. I really hope he achieves more and more success and accolades. He deserves it all.

This movie i have not watched yet but have learnt quite about it . Saw his tele film Kal where he was just raw but you can get the glimpses of his acting skills as rebel .Its kind of joke now at my place about this fandom thing and i am very wary of this world . Yes i forgot to mention his voice modulation , its the best i felt when in ZGH Kashaf rings him and tells him that she wants to come home and he just wipes tear drop very subtly and tells her Aa Jao ( Do come ) . And when Kashaf accuses of him having affair ,he charges like bull and that time he did marvelous job . Even in the limited episodes you can find 100s of moments which can not be found even in 500s episodes . Yes you are right , Humsafar just grew on me and have watched so many times after that horrific night . FK never goes over the top . just the last episodes were enough to know him as an performer where i found HJumsafar was more challenging for him .
I also wants to see him in BW but should create his own place like the legends as he is capable of delivering the expected one .

I had watched Khuda Kay Liye when it was released, but at that time Fawad did not register in my mind, guess coz the story was quite intense and that was wht gripped me. Though of course even then too I was impressed by Sarmad and his good looks too.😳

Then a few months back my relatives asked me to watch Humsafar and I saw a couple of episodes, but they didn't interest me, but I was totally enthralled by Asher and that's when I too started liking Fawad. Then of course ZGH happened! Then watched him in Dastaan and my God have never come across a male actor showing so much of pain, just through his eyes! He was just amazing and what a subtle and under-rated Devdas he would make.

I like him coz he's an amazing actor and very charismatic too and I love his off screen persona.😳

I just knew what Khuda Ke Liye was all about but did not watch the movie . He can portray pain and his anger without being loud , His confrontation with his mother where he was dieing inside knowing the truth about his mother and his own guilt was also killing him . Hats off to FK who pulled this character so well otherwise none could have accepted Asher and would have loved Khirad to leave him . His last dialogues to Khirad . His self conscious mocking him in the mirror . Last confrontation with Khirad at lake side . His reading the letter and shattered in to pieces . I have nt seen any actor in current lot having this versatility where in every frame you stand out .

But accidentally i found this Zindgi forum while watching ZGH . and perhaps started watching after 2-3 episodes and then was hooked and actually speaking was surprised by the whole concept of the show where you can identify with characters . Then my journey to FK,s land started and with that watch other beautiful shows which were recommended to me . And i just jhave forced so many non hidi watchers to watch ZGH anf Lo then got thank yous in plenty . Then people saw humsafar and when i asked someone who is in early fifties about FK ,s performance , she just told me that she can not find any in recent crowd yes Dilip Kumar comes to mind . And same i heard from so many people who do not find anyone standing near FK. He has all + points with him . Seen so many of his interviews where he appeared to be humble and has old world charm which is missing in this new crop of actors except Ranbir Kapoor.

I agree wid ur words Neerja. Fawad is one of the finest actors that Pakistan has to offer.. When initially ZGH was aired, Social Medias were loading wid Fawad Khan! Fawad Khan! But to be honest, he did not intrest me. It was only after watching The Post Leap Phase of ZGH that I started loving My Zaroon. Before that, In the college life he was superb with his expressions as a spoilt, rich college brat. But what I loved the most about his character was the transformation of Rich Spoilt Irresponsible Zaroon to A Loving Husband And A Devoted Father! Fawad played the transformation beautifully..!! He was the first man who made me believe that Love isnt only about Hold-Fall, Eyelocks and all that shit! Post that, I watched him in Behadd where his character Jo was another lovable thing. The matureness and sensibility potrayed by the actor was Brilliant! Sumtyms I felt lyk Its FK speaking and Not Jo..!! I think Jo was closest to the persona of the man himself. Prior that I watched sum Scenes of Dastaan...

And I fell in love wid those eyes.. Those chocolate piercing eyes cud emote so much be it love, pain or angst. He cud make u blush wid his eyes one moment, and make u cry wid the other! Then came Humsafar ofc.. Though I did love the Golden Hearted Asher! But It was only in the Post-Leap scenes that he came out as a powerful actor!!! 👏👏 The Emotionally breaking down scenes were a mastershot by him.. The Anger, Jealousy And Insecurity towards Khirad was brilliant! Pure Brilliance. And I've also watched sum scenes of Numm And Ashk. Though ppl thrash these two projects but he potrayed Wali and Rohail brilliantly. Wali was an intense character who potrayed so much thru his eyes and Rohail too wasnt easy to play.. Also, wud like to mention Akbari Asghari whom he claims to be one of his best works and there are no 2nd thoughts to that!! The Rugged Punjabi Asghar is a gem! I loved how he spoke such pure punjabi..!! Lastly, His recent work Khoobsurat where he played his character Vikram Singh Rathore! Love.❤️

ZGH was the journey of many characters with time . Change in Ghazala , Sara . But it was mainly the journey of two different people from different back ground but something similar ,bith knew what they wanted from life and were head strong . Have seen Zaroon kind of guys from upper strata where its fun and all in college days but change comes when go to one step further with carrier. I myself was shocked with the presentaion of the story . Just had old time charm where your eyes can tell the person about your feelings . In the last when Kashaf accepts her love for him ,he smilingly tells her i know . Love is in your actions , your eyes and the way you care for the person . ZGH is kind of never ending discussion and one can go on about every character and every situation . FK has the power to convince viewers being a student or any other of his characters . Hats off to FK . Have not found any one of his calibre. Its not me only .have heard so many people saying the same .
