I am almost heart broken!
Looking at the OLV's and other leaks. I can't believe that Mihiku has to go through all this at the hands of the CV's. If this race and new avatar for TRP's are going to continue god bless us YHM freaks and the lovely cast from doom!!
Anyways we people are not restricted by TRp's so here goes my update I hope the CV's give Mihika some relief and us as well...please feel free to write back to me about your opinions. They matter a lot and I will always love you for the interest you have shown in this FF.
I swear I'm going to do my utmost with PM's but logic tells me that I will always fall short.. so do bookmark this to make it easy for you to track updates!
The Dragnet
Mihika was a bundle of nerves she was going to meet Raman that afternoon and had taken the liberty of inviting Mani too for the later part of the meeting. She was hoping that by the time Mani made it she would have convinced Raman.
Ishita in the meanwhile had managed to gingerly let herself out of her husband's embrace and was patting her wet hair dry when Raman popped up and snaked his arms around her waist.
"Raman" she jumped
" ummm" he said huskily into her neck
" Ruhi"
"So Rahi hai.."
" Main chai lekar aaoon?"
"Nahi aise hee raho"
" Raman" she said twitching her toes..." I have to go out this afternoon do you think you can meet me for lunch at CP?"
" I wish ...I could but I have promised to meet someone at lunch and I don't even know where..we'll see how it goes but come back early I want to meet you here..." he said pointing to the bed..." and please pack that little one to amma's place..Mihika owes me one!' he kissed her again on her cheek before he left for the day and Ruhi woke up.
Mihika picked out some little slips and thrust them into her bag...pored over another bunch of sheets before she left for the day. Mihir's sister Shagun and her son lived with Mihir now, Ashok was openly flirting with her at work. Mihir wanted her out of Ashok's office. All that she saw of Ashok made her worry about Shagun and her son!
" HI Jeeju aap ekdum handsome lag rahe ho aaj!" she smiled when she saw him at lunch.
" I'm sure you didn't come here to tell me that" he said with a smile as he watched her take her seat across the table.
" No it's about Adi .." she said surprising Raman
" Jeeju I was 12 when I saw my father for the last time...he deserted us ..I don't know why neither does my mother. As a teenager I did things that I'm not proud of ...just to get attention!""I'm sorry" said Raman.
" That was when Akka and Vandu akka took me under their wings, if it wasn't for my periappa's love and care I would have grown up hating all men or probably being desperate for men! Sometimes as an outsider it was easy for periamma to straighten me and understand me more than my amma. I saw the same anguish in Adi's eyes" she said flicking her tears with her fingers. "the day he landed at Mihir's place with his mother... I know a man does not have to be a parent to love a child like his own...but Ashok is not a good man. Adi needs you in his life Jeeju and he does not want to reach out to you till Shagun will point you out. She is blind jeeju about Ashok ..i have tried to tell her ..but"
" Mihika I know all this about Ashok and Shagun" he was tired.
" Jeeju I want to do for Adi what akka and Vandu akka did for me...they pulled me out of my misery and help me settle well into their family. I want to pay back akka for the goodness she has brought on me, for you the man she loves" she said holding Raman's hand. " and importantly for Adi the child who is where I was all those years ago!"
" you girls are awesome" Raman said walking up to hug her with glistening eyes.
"But why do I get the feeling that you are going to say something that is not going to be very sensible??"
"jeeju you know the wedding is just around the corner..Mihir is neck deep in loans for his sister...I can't, actually won't quit my job and can't let Shagun marry Ashok"
"Mihika I can't be bothered about Shagun is a grown woman who chooses what she wants...you should not.."
" but jeeju that bimbo thinks Ashok loves her" Raman raised his eyebrows in response.
" So I want to get Adi and her out of that man's clutches...for Mihir, for Adi and for you! Ashok has filled so much crap about you in Adi's mind.. And I can't do it without your help!" she finished.
" It is not your responsibility so don't worry and how can I help??" Raman asked
" Jeeju Ashok has been eyeing me "
" Mihir is right you should stop working there Mihika" he slammed his fork in anger..
" Jeeju please ... I know how to look after myself"
" You don't know what a leech he is?" Raman said furiously " stop being so rash Mihika"
" Jeeju I only want you to be around at the wedding and the pre-wedding rituals..I'll expose that snake to that bimbo but if we even mention this to Mihir..he'll get mad"
" Jeeju we must kill that guy once and for all and get Adi out Ashok, Param and Suraj's clutches because these guys are always using Adi to get back at you and ruining your peace and akka's life. We just can't enjoy our life jeeju...the risk is worth it ...please..." she implored.
" I promise I will keep you in the loop before I plan anything...but jeeju I need you to hold my hand...aap toh akka ko jante ho...she will always worry about you and Adi and never live her life with you" Raman could not fault that logic.
" Mihika you promise that you stay either with me or with Mihir when you and that che foot are under the same roof outside your office"
" OFcourse jeeju" she smiled and held his hand.
" yeh saala na mere biwi ko chodtha hai na mere bhai ke biwi ko" Raman muttered when he saw Abhi walking in.
" Hey thanks for coming at such short notice...ye aap ke kiye hai.." she passed an envelope with a smile and a hug..." akka ki tarf se haan.." Raman's ears perked up when he heard that.. and he looked pointedly at Mihika. " Mani I know you and Ashok are business partners but akka can count you right?" " Of course she knows that you should too" he smiled accepting the envelope.
" Saala yeh bhi phass gaya Chennai express ke neeche" thought Raman as he shook his head when Mihika smiled at him
" Aur jeeju ye appkeliye hai " she smiled as she have him another envelop..." ye meri tarf se aapke liye" she smiled. " Ok you know what I'm not as big as you guys I have go before I get fired .. bye Mani . " she waved.
" Rukho I'll drop you " said Raman after nodding to Mani as they strode out.
Raman looked back at Mani one last time Mani seemed to be distant and somehow looked vulnerable...
" Aisye kya de diya tumhare akka ne??" he could not resist asking tilting his head towards Mani.
" Wo Mani aur uske akka ke pictures, some notes from his sister to him ...oH! Akka ne aapko bataya nahi... he lost his sister last year Nirvaan is his nephew! Jeeju plese let me drive ; aap na tab thak yeh dekh lijiye" she pointed to the envelope.
Raman could not stop smiling to himself as he looked through the contents of the envelope. They were little slips of paper of some game that the sisters had played what caught his interest was the list of dreams and fantasies that his Jhansi ki rani had written out. He laughed out loud when he read that one of her fantasies was to do a pole dance!
" Thanks Mihika that's a lot of dope for me" he said as she ran off to her office!
