MaNan drabble Cabir's mission: Damage Control

Cabir was lying peacefully in his bed surrounded by the gifts brought to him by his friends. Even though he felt a twinge of pain at the thought of Raghav, he was positive. He knew he would live through it as long as fab 5 was with him. Harshad was admitted the other day in the same hospital and Cabir couldn't help being smug about it.

His immediate concern was about Manik. ...Manik- Dhruv- Nandini...

It's a good thing that Nandini rejected Dhruv he thought varna aur gadbad ho jatha. Ab bas Manik ke sar mein thoda akal bharna hain...hmmm...mujhe hi kuch karna hoga!!!!!

While Cabir was deep in his thoughts, Dhruv came in followed by Nandini.

Aaahaaa!!!! Kya bath hai...time for some damage control!!!

"Cabir, how are you feeling now?" Nandini asked.

hmmm no wonder both Dhruv and Manik fell for her...after all we did to her, here she is asking if I'm fine.

Yeah. I'm fine. Chal beta Cabir Dhruv ko bhaga dete hain!

"Dhruv, yaar Aliya tujhe dhoond rahi thi. Voh canteen gayi hai. Go and find her na. Shayad usse tujse kuch zaroori baat karni hain". Dhruv being dhruv left without any further questions.

" So, Nandini main tumhe thank you nahi keh paya for saving my life the other day"

"No, Cabir. It's okay. Don't mention it"

She looks really stressed...

"So, I guess we are sort of.. friends now right?"

Nandini looked surprised. " yeah, of course" she gave a small smile.

"Agar tum bura na mano toh can I ask u smthn?" cabir asked.

"of course"

"Kya tumhare aur Manik ke beech kuch...there was no need to complete the question. The answer was written on her face. She looked at him shocked and it was obvious that she was struggling to hide her pain rather unsuccessfully.

Uh oh... things look serious!!!! Manik tune kya kar diya yaar!!!!

"Nahin.. who..aisi kuch nahin tha...manik aur ..mein.". She gave a lifeless snort. "Manik Malhotra aur mere beech kya ho saktha hai." She said sarcasm thick in her voice. " I'm a stupid commoner na. I'm dumb. I'm nave jise koi bhi stupid bana saktha hain" She said her voice quivering and her eyes brimming with tears.

Hmmm. The water is indeed clear. But isse pene keliye Manik ko bahut mehanat karna padega. Mr. Manik Malhotra you have definitely made a royal mess out of it.

"Sry Cabir, bahot der ho gaya hain. Mujht jana hoga. Bye" She rushed out of the room.

Bhagwan aap ne iss pure duniya mein sirf mujhe he akal kyun diya??!!! Kuch uss Manik ko bhi de dethe!!!Lagtha hai ki ab yeh kaam mujhe hi karn padega...Sigh!!!
