In the recent past, actress Sonakshi Sinha has been linked to her co- star Arjun Kapoor as the two have often been spotted together. While reports suggested that the two are more than just good friends Sonakshi refuses to even entertain any talk of the two being in a relationship.
When we asked her about Arjun, she rolled her eyes and said that though she was fed up of rumours, she and Arjun are just friends. " I guess when you work together and when you are spotted together, people automatically start talking and assuming. But they don't know that I have known Arjun for years. We went to the same school together. He was my senior in school and I have known him for that many years so it doesn't make a difference if we step out together.
He lives behind my house so if you are stepping out for a movie, you would automatically call someone and ask them if they would want to come along. It's as simple as that and if people want to make more of that then it makes no sense," Sonakshi says.
In the same breath, she continues that it has been a while since she stopped getting bothered by the stuff that was being written about her. She says, " I have absolutely stopped getting bothered by anything that is written about me and trust me, it feels awesome. I have never really been a voracious reader or someone who gets upset about every piece of news that gets written about me. Very early on I realised that it's better to not get affected by all this as in the bigger scheme of things, it doesn't really make a difference." Sonakshi is ecstatic with the response she has been getting for her Tamil debut, Lingaa opposite south superstar Rajinikanth. Though she was a bag of nerves when she realised that she was going to share screen space with him, the veteran actor made sure she felt at ease on the sets.
" It was fantastic. I don't think I could have gotten a better debut in the Tamil film industry. As a star, as somebody who gets worshiped, we all know that side of Rajini sir, but as a person, he is the most, simplest, down to earth and the most humble man I have ever met. It is surprising, but he wasn't intimidating at all.
The last time I had met him when I was a kid with my family and the next I have met him on set, doing this film with him. It just felt like a time lapse," Sonakshi adds.
