PRIDE

Pride.Its strange.Sinister and evil.

Pride makes us lose our clarity and vision,makes us forget what's right and what's wrong.

Zain Osman Abdullah never prayed when his father taught him how too.

Zain Osman Abdullah never prayed before his exams, because he believed that he was the master of his fate, and the ruler of destiny.

Zain never prayed when his father died,not even while performing the last rites,because he believed that it was science and not god who had failed his father.

Zain Abdullah never prayed to Allah when he strayed into the darker side of lie,traversed a path he wished he hadn't.

Zainn never prayed to Allah to give him enough strength to bring back his Aaliya..to ask for her forgiveness,when she walked out of his life.

His pride,his vanity-his ego..his larger than life ego,stopped him from crushing his pride.

Seven years later,he remembered what she ahd once said.."Der se hi sahi zain,par sabko kabhi na kabhi deen ki rah par chalna hi padta hai..Allah pe vishwaas karna seekho Zain..Unse madat mango taki who tumhe gunah karne se rok sake..Woh qadr hain Zain..Allah sab maaf kar dete hai..agar tum sachhe dil se ibadat karo toh..."

It was just a memeory, yet still so fresh..It was just few broken words and pictures in a kaleidoscope ..His life was coming to and end without her..she ahd left him, like all the other soul which had departed for the eternal sleep..Her absence was eroding away his sanity...stifling him in the poisonous emptiness and darkness..

Pride .Prdie had stopped him form begging in fornt of Allah to give him back his Aaliya...

And it was like an epiphany...it was the first time that he was letting go of the pride which had brought about his annihilation..Zain fell on his knees..tears cascading down his eyes, as he begged for his forgiveness...he was asking Aallah to give him enough strength so that he could join her in her new voyage.

Pride.Pride has wrapped its tentacle around his neck...stopping him from saving the things that mattered to him the most..from doing the right...and undoing the wrong..from saying her that he loves her for the last time...

Pride had completely destroyed him...
