First of all none of the men have a problematic life like Jethalal. Also Jetha is lucky to have Daya or Daya is lucky to have Jetha is a debatable topic.
yes, Jetha should mind his words as much as others should mind their actions. Here every second person is insulting someone or other.
The Chapli sena will poke their little noses in every one's personal life. Jetha has an affair with Kerry .. Be it.. who are you to interfere and decide the case on the behalf of Daya bhabi ? Who is Anjali to force Jetha for a glass of Kadha ?
Then comes Champak chachaji. His behaviour is pathetic.How can a father insult his son when his son is around ? Its completely against out Indian tradition and values. Not only these he actually punished Jetha's friends. Who are you to decide if they should go out for party or not ? Sodhi also has a father. Let his father decide his fate.
Then comes Iyyer. Iyyer also insults Jetha now and then. Jetha insults only Iyyer but Iyyer often diminishes the difference between Tappu and Jetha,'Ye jethalal aur uska beta' ,' Ye Gada pariwar' and so on. Don't forget he intentionally didn't invite Jetha and his family. This way he insulted Daya bhabi and Champak chacha also.
Then comes Bhide Bhai who actually envies Jethalal. He has problem with Jetha and family because htey are less educated. Therefore whenever Tappu sena behaves improperly only Tappu is blamed. ITs completely wrong for a teacher to do. On the top of it he insults the whole Gada khandan to be illiterate and boosts his family full of educated people. Who is he to decide if the kids should play or not play during exams ? WHo is he to decide the society compound should not be used for playing ? This way he disrespects himself as a secretary.
Then comes all the men of the society for whom household work is a shame. Bying vegetables, cleaning the house are only for women. Such backdated philosophy. They also always tease Popoat because he is still unmarried.
Popat will cry like a baby over small issues. 'Phone ka cover kharab ho gaya hai'. He will often cross his limit. Remember the way he insulted Hathi and Sodhi when they forcibly gave him medication ? He also tried to destroy the doctor's goodwill when a family had come to visit him. This was completely unethical for such a grown up man. Thankfully it didn't last long because the family also had an unmarried daughter.
I will count Daya because she unfolds all family secrets in the balcony although she has been asked thousand of times not to do that. She is blind to the way SUndar treats her husband and quite oblivion to Tappu and his pranks.
And the most insulting group is Taappu sena. MAsti karna and Mazaak udana are two different things. Shampoo and comb to Bhide was really insensible thing to do and then there are many such instances which I feel should have been avoided.
Overall, each member tries to insult one another one way or other. SOme are proud of their educational degree, some because they have strong financial background, some because of family rivalry and some because its their nature to do so.At the end of the day they are all but same. Ek hi thale ke chatte batte hai sab ke sab.
